Regional Agencies Release Separate Housing Policy Papers
The Bay Area's regional transportation and planning agencies have each issued housing policy discussion papers identifying what they view as potential strategies for the agencies and others to address the region's housing supply and affordability problems.  Both MTC's "Advancing the Regional Housing Agenda" [attached] and ABAG's "Housing Action Agenda" [attached] will be presented to the Regional Agency Working Group meeting on Tuesday, May 3 at 9:30 a.m. at the MetroCenter in Oakland.
Alameda County Releases Draft Housing Bond
Alameda County staff have released a draft countywide $500 million housing bond program that would provide down-payment assistance for middle-income working families to purchase homes, finance accessibility improvements necessary for seniors and the disabled to stay in their homes, and rehabilitate the homes of low-income residents.
