Palo Alto City Staff Recommends Highest Affordable Housing Fees in the Region
A Staff recommendation to sharply raise affordable housing fees on nearly all development is now scheduled for review this week by the Palo Alto City Council Finance Committee, a four member subcommittee of the Council. If adopted, Palo Alto affordable housing fees would be the highest in the Silicon Valley/South Bay region. Full Story

Santa Clara Ad Hoc Task Force to Review Quimby Fee Land Values
On Jan. 26, after several deferrals, the Santa Clara City Council directed the City Manager to establish the "Parkland Dedication In Lieu Fee Property Task Force". BIA|Bay Area has secured a seat on the Task Force whose charge is to review and recommend revisions to Quimby and Mitigation Fee Act land value methodology. Full Story

Set for Feb. 17
Join us for a fundraiser and celebration to benefit the Recovery Café San Jose and recognize the leadership of government, business and labor.
Presented by BIA|Bay Area and HomeAid Northern California, HomeAid Executive Director Cheryl O'Connor will lead the festivities. The event will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Recovery Cafe, 80 S. Fifth St. in San Jose.
