ABAG Adopts Plan Bay Area 2.0 Regional Housing Number 
One of the key "inputs" for the next iteration of Plan Bay Area (the region's Sustainable Communities Strategy adopted pursuant to SB 375) has been set by ABAG.   At its meeting on January 21, ABAG's Executive Board adopted a resolution establishing the "Regional Housing Control Total" for Plan Bay Area 2.0.  The Regional Housing Control Total is essentially the region's projected housing need for the period 2010-2040.  Full Story
Air District Previews Draft Clean Air Plan Update
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) will update its Clean Air Plan in 2016.  As part of the Clean Air Plan update, BAAQMD will develop a Regional Climate Protection Strategy.  BAAQMD has posted a document representing "a list of all the draft control measures and their potential implementing regulations that have been identified by Air District staff and interested stakeholders for the 2016 Clean Air Plan/Regional Climate Protection Strategy."  Full Story

Set for Feb. 17 
Join us for a fundraiser and celebration to benefit the Recovery Café San Jose and recognize the leadership of government, business and labor.

Presented by BIA|Bay Area and HomeAid Northern California, HomeAid Executive Director Cheryl O'Connor will lead the festivities. The event will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Recovery Cafe, 80 S. Fifth St. in San Jose.
