Big CEQA Win at California Supreme Court
The building industry and the entire regulated community in California secured a major CEQA victory last week when the California Supreme Court reversed a lower court ruling and rejected the proposition that CEQA generally requires an analysis of the impacts of the existing environment on projects (the so-called "reverse application" of CEQA).  Full Story
Revival of Another CEQA Win
In June 2012, BIA|Bay Area secured publication of a significant Court of Appeal CEQA opinion--.   City of Hayward v. Board of TrusteesCity of Hayward involved an important and recurring CEQA question:  the extent to which CEQA requires analysis and mitigation of a project's purported impacts on traditional municipal services such as police and fire services.  Full Story
