The school district has asked the Los Gatos City Council to adopt an ordinance and resolution that would resurrect the old 1977 School Facilities Act (SB 201) as a means to charge an additional $9.57 per sq. ft. above the current SB 50 Level I fee of $2.29 per sq. ft.  Full Story

Why is Supporting a PAC Golf Tournament Important?
The BIA Bay Area is the advocacy arm for all our members at both the local and regional level. We tackle issues such as fees and assessments, housing mandates, and a myriad of policy issues that may negatively impact new housing. In order to encourage favorable outcomes, the BIA supports elected officials that are builder friendly and understand the impact to jobs and housing for our region. By participating in a BIA PAC event, your dollars are used to support those who support the housing industry. The BIA will be hosting several events in the coming year as we prepare for the 2016 elections. Please join us on September 25 at our first PAC event at the Pleasanton Golf Club for a fun morning followed by BBQ lunch. Click here for the flyer or click here to register.
