Looking Back and Looking Forward

January is the time for backwards reflection and future planning. This January, Dave and I have the honor to be doing this from Haiti, where we're spending a couple of months with our church partner Pastor Samuel at the Glory Glory Center in Valere. This time is a blessing, as we're able to reflect all together on the many ministry successes of 2015, as well as the mistakes, and discuss freely and honestly how the Mariners Haiti Ministry can best partner with Sam in 2016. Read More

Men of Mariners Go to Haiti 
On January 21st 2016, Mariners' Men's ministry will send a team to Haiti in what is becoming an annual tradition. This team will concentrate on educating local pastors and church leaders on how to recognize addiction in their community and compassionately implement 'care and recovery' programs to assist. 

The men will also perform some much needed maintenance around the Glory Glory Center including painting and minor repairs to the dorms, etc. 

We ask for your prayers over this team as they travel and do the work the Lord has called them to at the Glory Glory Center. 
A Day in the Life of a Faith Adventure
Rylee and her buddies Alancia, Sentia (on Rylee's back) and Samuel.
Dave and Susan Watkins began their two month journey in Haiti with a family Faith Adventure that included their two daughters, Cali and Nicole, as well as their two friends, Rylee and Carli.  

Together they spent most of their time with the kids at the Glory Glory Center, preparing for the Glory Glory Christmas Eve celebration (purchasing and wrapping gifts thanks to generous donors), and experiencing Haitian culture...  Read More

Will Haiti's New President Be Sworn in February 7th as the Constitution Demands?

On February 7, 2016, Haiti's current president, Michel Martelly is constitutionally required to turn the government over to his successor (as he has reached his term limit). Problem is, there isn't a successor ... at least, not yet.
