Increased Charter Funding!
Good news! The state budget was finally signed yesterday! Charter funding remained whole and each school will be seeing increases in per pupil funding over the next two years, outlined below.
Charter schools will receive an additional $36 per pupil this school year (2015/16)
Charter schools will receive an additional $1,036 per pupil beginning next school year (2016/17)

Thank you to all our supporters for hanging in there through this long battle full of emotional highs and lows. There will likely be more need for legislative support in the future but let's all take a moment and reflect on just how far we've come, simply amazing!

If you reached out to legislators last spring, please take a moment to thank them for their efforts!

Quotes
Student having lunch with Nicole:
Student: "Can I tell you something?"
Nicole: "Sure."
Student: "One time when I went on vacation with my mom, I didn't get my way so I started acting out. I don't know why I did that. I think maybe I'm just not used to not being where I need to be."

Second grader said to Nicole: "That new door is really cool. Now you can just press the buzzer and not waste your work getting up to answer the door all the time. You can just sit back and relax!"
