Samantha McIlwrick featured in The Province's 2014 Head of the Class

Every year, The Province profiles outstanding high school athletes in their annual Head of the Class. This year, Team BC and Tri-City Eagles field hockey player, Samantha McIlwrick, has been featured in the 2014 edition. Samantha is recognized for her leadership on and off the field and for her dedication to her community. Her goal for this summer is to make the Canadian Junior National team before heading to Cornell University in the fall to play NCAA Division 1 field hockey. Stefanie Langkammer named Female Athlete of the Year at Cowichan Secondary School

Congratulations to Train to Compete Team BC athlete, Stefanie Langkammer, on being named Female Athlete of the Year at Cowichan Secondary School! Stefanie will be training with the Canadian Junior National team while she begins her first year at the University of Victoria. We wish her lots of luck in her future endeavors!

Thank-you for another successful year of Club Championships!

110 teams from across British Columbia participated in the Learn to Train, Train to Train, and Train to Compete Club Championships over the first three weekends of June. Call for Umpires - Learn to Train U13 Regional Festival, July 4-6

The 2014 Field Hockey BC Learn to Train Festival marks the end of a ten week program for the 180 participating athletes from across BC. 20 teams will participate in this jam packed weekend of Hockey 5's, Dinner, Disco, and Parade! Canada prepares for Commonwealth Games!

With their sights set on the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, both the women's and men's National teams have been training and competing in numerous test series and tournaments. Pan American teams find success at Hockey World Cup ahead of Toronto 2015

Pan American teams displayed great strength and determination at the Rabobank Hockey World Cup. Argentina won both bronze medal matches, defeating England on the men's side and the United States on the women's side. With these performances, we can expect to watch great hockey as Canada takes on these teams at the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games!

The Netherlands' secret to success at the FIFA World Cup: field hockey

The world has been raving about the Netherlands ever since they defeated defending FIFA World Cup Champion, Spain, 5-1 in their first game last week. What's their secret? Field hockey! Australia and the Netherlands dominate 2014 Hockey World Cup

Both Australia and the Netherlands won gold and silver medals at the Rabobank Hockey World Cup in the Hague, Netherlands. Australian men defeated the Netherlands 5-1 for the gold medal, while the Netherlands women beat Australia 2-0 for their 7th World Cup win!
