The FHBC events calendar gets particularly busy around this time of year. Here's a quick look into whats coming up over the next few weeks. 17-20 May Vancouver International Tournament, 24-26 May U16 Boys and Girls Club Championships, 1-2 Jun U12 Boys and Girls Club Championships, 8-9 June U14 Boys and Girls Club Championships, 14-16 June U18 Boys and Girls Club Championships.
FHBC's Technical Head Coach Shiv Jagday is running a number of parent education seminars. The first one took place on the North Shore where 15-20 parents attended. The sessions aim to give parents a greater understanding of the types of activities that can be done at home to help young players develop their skills. Pat Hall Announces Retirement from VILFHA
The Vancouver Island Ladies Field Hockey Association (VILFHA) are hosting a retirement party and celebration for Pat Hall on June 15th. Pat Has been an active member of VILFHA for 51 years and has retired from the executive board at the end of the 2012-2013 season. FHBC would like to thank Pat for her huge contribution of voluntary time to field hockey and for her ongoing passion for the growth of women's field hockey. Get Ready for the Euro Hockey League Finals
The Euro Hockey League finals will take place on 18 and 19 May in Amsterdam, Holland. After the knockout stages started in March the 4 teams in the semi finals are, Ros Weiss Koln (Germany) vs KHC Dragons (Belgium) and Bloemendaal (Holland) vs Amsterdam (Holland). 14 BC Athletes Selected for Women's National Team
The Women's National Team has been announced for the Ireland Tour taking place in June with 14 players from BC selected. This is the first tour under new coach Ian Rutledge and the first major international matches in the Women's National Teams new Olympic cycle. World League Round 2: Watch Canada's Highlights
The Men's National Team recently took part in the World Hockey League Round 2 in France. After recording wins in the first 3 games Canada lost to the tournament favorites Belgium. Canada then met France in the final game, both battling to take 2nd Place, after gaining a 2-1 lead in the first half the Men's national team lost 3-2 taking 3rd place
