FHBC are supporting Field Hockey Canada's The BIG PUSH. Due to recent drastic funding cuts FHC are inspired by the challenge to continue to pursue their goals. As our national athletes support the community, we encourage you to support Canada's National athletes through a charitable donation via CHIMP. Recently West Vancouver Field Hockey Club raised $2000 for the Rio 2016 campaign by hosting an event with some of Canada's top national athletes. BC's Future Stars Shine at Train to Train Festival
Around 128 athletes, aged 13-15, took part in the Train to Train Festival on 5-7 April. Thank you to all the athletes, coaches and umpires involved who ensured the festival was a huge success. There were 8 teams involved in the festival where FHBC coaches selected athletes to progress onto the next stage of the program, the Girls Train to Train Team BC selection camp on 3-5 May, Congratulations to the athletes selected. #FHBCT2T

Throughout March the European Hockey League has been taking place in Holland. This competition attracts the big clubs from across Europe to compete at an international level. The league started with 16 teams in a knockout, and is now down to the final 4 with the semi finals and the finals taking place on 18th and 19th May. The teams competing in the semi finals are Rot Weiss Koln (Germany) vs KHC Dragons (Belgium) and Bloemendaal (Holland) Vs Amsterdam (Holland). Team Canada's Olympic Rivals Win Four Nations
Argentina beat New Zealand 5-1 in the final of the Four Nations tournament at Blake Park in Tauranga. Argentina were in excellent form scoring 4 of the goals in the first half. Argentina created 10 goal scoring opportunities scoring 5 of them. Seven time FIH World Player of the Year, Luciana Aymar of Argentina (pictured above) was influential in the final assisting with the first 2 goals and scoring the 3rd in the first half.
