Performance Sport Results
Rutlege

A recently completed Provincial Government review and report into High Performance Athlete and Coach Development, sees Field Hockey as the highest ranked team sport (6th), with a ranking percentage of 80% that places the FHBC HP Athlete and Coach Education program in the top bracket to receive future funding support.  This is a credit to all involved and a reflection on our community development pathway for athletes and coaches across BC.  Most significantly, results of this nature will enable FHBC to continue to support the active community implementation of Long Term Field Hockey Development (LTFHD) through 2016.

New Water Based Facility

FHBC is delighted to announce that Burnaby Parks and Recreation are supporting the replacement of the current 2nd pitch at the Burnaby Lake West Complex with a new water based Field Hockey surface.  The proposed time for the field work is April-Aug 2014.  This new facility is excellent news for the field hockey community and especially to Burnaby Field Hockey Club.

Congratulations to Maddie Secco
FHBC would like to congratulate Maddie Secco from Victoria BC, who is a finalist in the High School Female Athlete category at the 47th Annual Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards.
