HUSCO International Honored with Manufacturer of the Year Award
HUSCO International was awarded the Manufacturer of the  Year (MOTY) Award for the Mega category at the MOTY Annual Awards program on Thursday, February 26. HUSCO Automotive President Todd Zakreski accepted the award on behalf of the Ramirez family and the employees of the organization.

The Manufacturer of the Year nominees are evaluated in areas such as financial growth or consistency, technological advances, product development, environmental solutions and sustainability, operational excellence/continuous improvement, commitment to employees and their communities and effective research and development. HUSCO's award announcement mentioned their success in these areas, but especially focused on the company's growth and commitment to their employees and the community. Congratulations to the HUSCO International organization on their well-deserved award.

 

This statewide recognition of manufacturing is an annual event sponsored by Baker Tilly, Michael Best & Friedrich and Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce. In its 27th year, the program highlights the importance of manufacturing to Wisconsin and the wide variety of manufacturing that occurs in Wisconsin. Alliance Welcomes new Community Engagement Coordinator 

The Alliance is pleased to announce that Sheila Buechel has joined our team as Community Engagement Coordinator.

 

Sheila is responsible for supporting Alliance programs to advance outreach, build relationships and foster collaboration with education, workforce development, economic development, non-profit and other Alliance partner groups that impact the success of businesses in Waukesha County and the region.

 

Sheila comes to the Alliance with a background of teaching at Marquette University. Prior the teaching, her background includes industrial sales of hydraulic equipment throughout the Midwest.

   

Be sure to introduce yourself to Sheila at the next Alliance program!
Mark Your Calendars for Match Day 2015      

The Alliance Board of Directors received an update regarding Match Day 2015 at its meeting on February 18th and is encouraging the business community to take advantage of this giving opportunity.

 

Match Day is an annual online giving event led by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation that raises awareness and support for food and shelter agencies in southeastern Wisconsin. This year's Match Day will be take place on Thursday, March 19. Please support these Waukesha agencies: FOOD Pantry of Waukesha County, Hebron House of Hospitality, Hope Center, and The Women's Center. For more information and to donate, click here. 
Zoo Interchange Project, Two Major Ramp Closures in March       

There are two major ramp closures coming up in early March to be aware of:

  1. I-94 West to I-894/US 45 South- will remain closed until late 2017
  2. I-894/US 45 North- I-94 West- will remain closed until late 2015
