Have SURF will travel
In 2013, 18 SURFers travelled abroad for their summer research experience. Four were in Singapore, two in England at the University of Oxford, and four in Switzerland-three at CERN and one at ETH. The others travelled far and wide to destinations such as:
- Canada
- Hong Kong
- Germany
- France
- Argentina
- Japan
- Greece
- China
In addition, three students participated in the SURF exchange with the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) and one with the University of Iceland. Read full story here

SURF Round Robin Lab Tour
Friday, January 31, 2:30 - 5:00 pm, followed by dinner at the Rathskeller
We invite SURF donors to join us for this exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of four of Caltech's amazing research groups! Guided by SURF students and their mentors, participants will have a chance to see first-hand what research at Caltech is all about. This is a great opportunity to connect to SURF students and learn more about their experience.
