Voter's Edge
If you need information about the June 7 primary, visit the State League's new website. The League of Women Voters of California has made it easier than ever for voters to find their customized election data. Just enter your zip code!

If you are a No Party Preference (NPP) Voter who wishes to vote in American Independent, Democratic or Libertarian primary:
Vote-by-Mail 
* You had to apply for a vote-by-mail ballot before May 31, 2016.
In Person (early in person voting) 
* Go to your county elections office or voters service centers (if your county has them) before June 7.
* Request the ballot of the party you wish to vote in.
* Note: If you have a vote-by-mail ballot take it and its return envelope with you to give it (surrender it) to the elections officials. If you do not bring the old ballot and envelope, you will receive a provisional ballot that will be counted after it is confirmed that your old ballot was not cast.
At the Polls on Election Day, June 7: 
* Go to your polling place or your county elections office.
* Request the ballot of the party you wish to vote in.
* Note: If you have a vote-by-mail ballot take it and its return envelope with you to give it (surrender it) to the elections officials. If you do not bring the old ballot and envelope, you will receive a provisional ballot that will be counted after it is confirmed that your old ballot was not cast.
If you re-registrated after you received a vote-by-mail ballot: 
* If you re-registered after receiving a vote-by-mail ballot, and you asked for vote-by-mail status during the re-registration, then a new vote-by-mail ballot will be mailed to you.  
* Return the new vote-by-mail ballot in the envelope that came with the new ballot. Do not use the old ballot or the old envelope.The old ballot is void and will not be counted. A new ballot in an old envelope will also not be counted.
* Mail your ballot. Be sure it is postmarked on or before June 7, 2016.
* -OR-
* Cast your ballot in person on Election Day at any polling place in your county or your county elections office. 
For Members: LWVSB Annual Meeting
Saturday, June 11
All League members and their guests are invited to attend the annual meeting, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 909 La Cumbre Road, Santa Barbara. You should have received an information and registration packet in the mail.

After the business meeting (which will include the treasurer's report, budget, election of officers and directors, adoption of the local program, co-presidents reports, and advice to the board), there will be a luncheon.
Then well-known local historian and author Neal Graffy will speak on "History of Water in Santa Barbara."

There is no charge for attending the business meeting. The luncheon cost is $35. For further information, contact Bonnie Lassen.
