Combined Heat and Power in the Oil Field

EFD has been requested to partner with the DOE's Southwest Combined Heat and Power Technical Assistance Partnership (a program operated by HARC) to assist in the development of their presentation concerning the latest applications and opportunities for CHP in the oil field. Their webinar is being planned for May 2015.

As they begin to develop the content of their webinar, they would like to reach out to determine areas of interest that may be related to CHP in the oil field. They are currently considering CHP applications and technologies, as well as ownership models, financing, and regulatory issues.

Here is a link to a two question survey. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/EFDCHP Please mark the ones that you are most interested in hearing more about or let us of know any other suggestions you may have and we will pass them along.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Natural Gas STAR Methane Challenge Program
BMP Commitment: Distribution Segment

The EPA has released the "Methane Challenge Program Best Management Practice  Commitment: Distribution Segment Supplementary Technical Information," which provides additional details to augment the BMP Commitment Framework and Partnership Agreement documents released January 21, 2016. This document, along with the "BMP Commitment Option Partnership Agreement" and "Implementation Plan Guidelines," is intended to provide potential Partners with key information for consideration of the Program.

A webinar is scheduled to be held at 1:00PM EST on February 18, 2016, to review the Distribution Supplementary Technical Information document and to answer any questions potential Partners in this segment may have.

HARC will listen in on this webinar and take notes
that will be made available to EFD Sponsors!

The EFD program, funded by federal, state and foreign government agencies, industry and environmental organizations, provides unbiased science to policy makers and identifies, develops and tests new technologies, processes and systems to reduce the environmental footprint associated with oil and gas activities, from well site selection through natural gas compression. The program, approximately $4 million per year, is engaged in research and technology transfer activities from the Western Slope of the Rockies to the Ukraine, and from the North Slope of Alaska to Columbia (South America). Research includes land, air and water issues, as well as public perception investigations. The program was honored with the Chairman's Stewards Award for Environmental Partnership at the 2009 Annual Meeting of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission.
