MONTHLY SPOTLIGHT MOTORCYCLE

The 2015 Indian Chieftain

NEW LOOK. SAME SOUL The 2015 Indian® Chieftain is in touch with its past, but far ahead of its time. It's the first Indian Motorcycle® ever with a hard fairing, hard saddlebags and unprecedented new comfort and convenience features. It's like no Indian Motorcycle® ever seen before, yet its style makes clear it has the DNA of a legendary Indian Motorcycle®.

The Thunder Stroke® 111 engine delivers an incredible 119 ft-lbs of torque and features styling that pays tribute to legendary Indian Motorcycle® engines of the past.

Spacious hard saddlebags are mounted on quick-release anchors and feature remote electronic locks you control with a console mounted button - or a convenient key fob.

Raise and lower the power-adjustable windshield with the push of a button to customize airflow and protection.

The fairing houses an audio system that delivers clean, quality sound from dual high-output speakers. The aerodynamic fairing blocks wind to allow you to enjoy your highway playlist without interference.

Driving lights provide both style and protection down any road you choose to take.

The integrated Bluetooth® smart phone connection makes it easy to run music stored in the phone through the Indian® Chieftain® audio system. Playlist info is displayed on the multi-function display screen, and switches near the handgrip make it easy to control the audio. Bluetooth® is a registered trademark of Bluetooth Sig, Inc.

Enjoy convenient and secure keyless starting. With the Indian® Chieftain® key fob in your pocket, climb on the bike, push a button and ride. If you misplace the fob, use the individual security code that you pre-programmed into the ignition.

The engine produces a rich exhaust note from the true dual exhaust. The exhaust was acoustically engineered to eliminate high-pitched sounds, so what you really hear is Indian Motorcycle® thunder.

One of the classic elements of an Indian Motorcycle® is the vintage badging. Ever since the Indian® script logo was first created in 1910, this feature has made the Indian Motorcycle® badging a hallmark of this historic brand.

Lighting the way as it has done since 1947 is the iconic Warbonnet. Mounted proudly atop the front fender in a chrome frame, this light makes it clear, "This is a genuine Indian Motorcycle®."

Stylish, elegant and functional, the iconic valenced fenders, standard since 1940, enhance the flowing styling lines of every Indian Motorcycle®. They also provide protection, effectively blocking road spray and gravel kicked up by the tires.

Every Indian Motorcycle® is equipped with outstanding brakes, and in keeping with our traditional styling, we choose to cover the calipers. The result is a clean, stylish, beautifully finished sheet metal - iconic Indian Motorcycle® valanced fenders.

The 2015 Indian Chieftain maintains the legendary Indian Chief styling, while taking this progressive machine to new heights with advanced features and premium comfort.

Add the Stage 1 Slip-On Exhaust and enjoy a rich, throaty exhaust note that provides the perfect soundtrack for the open road. This exhaust system allows the Thunder Stroke 111 motorcycle engine to breath more freely and unleash additional power and crisp throttle response. Add extra style to your exhaust with a set of Six Shooter Exhaust Tips.

Boost the performance of your Indian® Motorcycle®, create more legroom on the left side of the engine, and enhance the style of the Thunder Stroke® 111 V-Twin. The "Big Sucker" intake lets the engine "inhale" more freely for a slight performance gain, and it enhances throttle response.

Add style, comfort and outstanding storage space by installing a Trunk on your bike. The trunk has many luxury features and provides access to the cargo area, which is spacious enough to hold two full-face helmets.

A passenger will enjoy a comfortable, stable perch with these Passenger Floorboards. The strong metal base, with grooved rubber top, is hinged so the floorboards can be flipped up when not in use.

The adjustable Chrome Heel Shifter adds extra style to your Indian® Motorcycle®, and it accommodates riders who prefer heel shifting.

MONTHLY SPOTLIGHT ORV
2015 Polaris Sportsman ACE

The powerful 45HP ProStar® engine gives you the power to tackle almost any trail. It features dual overhead cams, 4 valves per cylinder, and electronic fuel injection to precisely deliver the fuel charge for instant, predictable throttle response.

Featuring the same legendary system found on nearly all Polaris off-road vehicles, the On-Demand True All-Wheel Drive system eliminates the guesswork by automatically selecting two-wheel or four-wheel drive. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride.

Polaris off-road vehicles have built an unprecedented reputation for work and the storage capability of the all-new Polaris ACE is no different. With an integrated front storage compartment and high-capacity cargo box, the ACE can carry up to 360 lbs of gear.

Cargo capabilities of the new Polaris ACE are as diverse as the machine itself thanks to a Lock & Ride equipped cargo box with built in rack-extenders and integrated tie-down rails to securely carry all of your gear, wherever the trail takes you.

The work ethic of Polaris off-road vehicles was instilled into the heart and soul of the new Polaris ACE including the power and capability to tow loads up to 1,500 lbs.

The smoothest, most responsive power steering available, with 30% more power assist than the leading competitor, plus Variable Assist for easier steering at lower speeds. Our EPS lets you ride all day with less fatigue from steering.

The revolutionary new design of the Polaris ACE combines the nimble handling of an ATV and the security and comfort of a side-x-side in a rider centric design. The compact, comfortable, and centralized seating position connects you directly with the machine for the ultimate trail riding experience.

5-Layer metallic automotive-style finish is 9 times more scratch-resistant than standard plastic and combined with 12" cast aluminum wheels the Polaris ACE 570 SP shouts performance on the trail.

Engine Braking System works to give you optimum control and smooth, even deceleration.

A fully-independent rear suspension delivers 9.5 inches of travel for a terrain capable ride. High performance rear shocks tout easy to adjust preload capabilities so you can tailor our legendary smooth Polaris ride just for you.

No need to throw a leg over anything, the open and flow-through design of the Polaris ACE cockpit makes for easy entrance and exit of the vehicle.

The secure feeling of the Polaris ACE high-back bucket seat is complemented with plush, side bolsters, which deliver both comfort and control by keeping you properly positioned so you can focus on the ride.

Pull back on the lever to position the steering wheel for a perfect fit and optimum control. Raise the wheel completely or combine with 4" of seat slider travel to ease entering and exiting.

VICTORY MOTORCYCLES TO RACE PROTOTYPE ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE AT THE LEGENDARY INTERNATIONAL ISLE OF MAN TOURIST TROPHY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MEDINA, MN (May 12, 2015) - Victory Motorcycles is announcing their intention to race at the iconic International Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT) event on a prototype Victory electric race motorcycle.
The prototype electric race bikes will be piloted by William Dunlop of the legendary Dunlop dynasty and by Lee Johnston known in the racing world as "General Lee".
Victory Racing will compete in the Isle of Man TT electric class, marking the first time that Victory Motorcycles has entered a professional motorcycle-racing event in Europe and raced an electric motorcycle. Parker, the world's leading diversified manufacturer of motion and control technologies and systems, is providing the race-proven, high performance GVM PMAC motors for both machines. "The entire Victory team is excited to make history with this effort," said Rod Krois, Victory General Manager. "We know that William Dunlop's experience and the continued Victory Motorcycles development of this electric race bike through work with Parker will propel us into a strong future with electric motorcycles."
With more than a hundred years of history, the annual International Isle of Man TT, raced on the Irish Sea Island, is one of the most demanding and exciting races in the world. The SES TT Zero Challenge class event for electric motorcycles is a one-lap race round the island's 37.73 mile Mountain Course scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, 2015.
"I'm more than excited to race this prototype at the Isle of Man," said professional rider William Dunlop. "Electric powertrains have many advantages, and the Isle of Man is one of the greatest tests in motorcycle racing."
Professional Rider Lee Johnston will be riding the second entry for Victory Racing at the Isle of Man TT and said, "I'm excited to make history by racing the new Victory electric race prototype. It's thrilling to be part of the emerging electric motorcycle movement."
Ben Furnish, Marketing Manager for Parker Hannifin said, "Parker is thrilled to be involved with Victory Motorcycles in this historic event with these talented riders. We look forward to working with Victory to develop high performance powertrains for electric motorcycles. "
The Victory Racing prototype electric race bike features a dedicated electric racing motor and power cells as well as highly sophisticated electric controls to maximize peak power, power delivery, and durability under racing conditions. Victory engineers have further refined the electronics and chassis for the upcoming race with private test sessions in North America.
Motorcycles will host a continuous news feed of updates and photos from the Isle of Man TT and will have more information available on the Victory electric prototype race bike at www.VictoryMotorcycles.com.  Be sure to follow Victory on Twitter @VictoryBikes and on Facebook at facebook.com/VictoryMotorcycles  for additional updates. 156 Corners of Pikes Peak. It's historic, it's grand and it's everything about racing and motorcycles that we love and fear. Consequences on an epic scale provided by mother nature herself. Then there's the added challenge of building a bike from the ground up including a prototype engine in a short 4 months. It's a daunting task even for the experienced and seasoned race veteran. Join us on our journey to handbuild a prototype race bike for 156 corners of Fury as we Race to the Clouds.
Project 156, the collaborative Pikes Peak Hill Climb effort put together by Victory Racing and Roland Sands Design, has an ambitious goal-winning America's second-oldest race, with Cycle World Road Test Editor Don Canet in the saddle.
