2013 VICTORY CROSS COUNTRY TOURAvailable in our Showroom today!
For the riders who churn out the miles on week-long trips all over the nation, this is the new long distance touring bike that others will be chasing for years. Pack everything you need, take to the road, and relax for days. The Victory® Freedom® 106/6 V-Twin is a 106-cu. in. powerplant that pumps out 106 ft-lb of arm-straightening, street-churning torque. It's a counter-balanced, fuel-injected engine that delivers impressive performance for riders who like to lead, not follow. A Cross Country Tour rider enjoys smooth shifting and the best cruising on the open road in 6th gear, which is a true overdrive. Helical-cut gears ensure that each shift is smooth and easy, and neutral assist makes it easy to slip into neutral at stops. In all conditions, the Victory Anti-Lock Brake System on the Cross Country Tour provides riders with peace of mind. When traction is compromised, it immediately and automatically provides reliable braking to help a rider stop quickly and under control. Enjoy season-extending comfort with the Victory Comfort Control System, which provides a rider with Upper Air Controls and Lower Air Controls to manage the airflow from the front end. In cold or wet conditions, close the controls to completely block the elements. In warm weather, open them up to enjoy cooling airflow. Out on the open road, go ahead and activate the cruise control for an easy, relaxed ride. This automotive-qualify cruise control is easy to activate and set, and it reliably maintains the desired speed. To de-activate it, simply press "Off" or engage the clutch lever or either brake. The open road can get a little rough, so it's great to have the 4.7" of smooth travel provided by the Cross Country Tour rear suspension. The air shock is easily adjusted using a hand pump so the suspension delivers a consistently smooth ride for one or two riders, with or without cargo on board. The Cross Country Tour has the most storage space of any motorcycle in the world. Its trunk, saddlebags and two front storage compartments offer a total of 41.1 gallons of storage space. With a Cross Country Tour, you can take it with you - there's plenty of room. Cross Country Tour saddlebags set the standard for storage space, cargo protection and security. These bags offer a total of 21.3 gallons of storage space, and the lockable lids have weatherproof seals to protect gear stowed inside. Rails that extend beyond the base of the saddlebags complement the bike's style and provide outstanding low-speed tip-over protection. Extend the riding season with the heated handgrips and heated seats. The driver has Hi & Lo settings on the hand controls to ward off the chill, and the seats provide the driver and passenger with individual Hi/Lo controls. Complementing the excellent weather protection of the Victory Comfort Control System is the tall windshield. It provides outstanding protection and ensures a rider will have reliable visibility in all conditions. Rule of the road: the lower the seat height, the more control. The Cross Country Tour has the lowest seat in its class. Unless you admit having the toe strength of a ballerina, you want to be able to plant both feet firmly on the ground. It's a rule of the road: When the passenger's not happy, nobody's happy. The Cross Country Tour enhances the passenger's ride with adjustable floorboards. These floorboards can be set in any of three positions over a 2" height range, and can be tipped at a 10° angle for optimal comfort. Keep electronic accessories running strong using the 12v power outlet. It lets riders charge items such as phones or batteries and can power items such as heated apparel, GPS units and more.

POLARIS DONATES 10 MILITARY-GRADE ULTRA-LIGHT VEHICLES TO THE SALVATION ARMY FOR HURRICANE SANDY RELIEF
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ROSEVILLE, Minn. - Polaris Industries Inc. has donated 10 military-grade Ultra-Light Vehicles to The Salvation Army, to assist in their relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Sandy. The MVRS 700 4x4 vehicles, built to operate in extreme conditions, will enhance The Salvation Army's ability to transport food, water and other critical supplies to areas hard-hit by the devastating Oct. 29 storm.
The vehicles shipped earlier this week from Polaris' plant in Osceola, Wis., to Salvation Army locations in New York and New Jersey. The Salvation Army continues to provide hot meals, drinks, emotional support and other critical services to hundreds of thousands of Hurricane Sandy survivors and relief workers.
"Our thoughts are with those struggling in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy," said Polaris CEO Scott Wine. "The Salvation Army is working tirelessly to ease their hardship, and we hope the vehicles we provide will hasten relief efforts and help restore some sort of normalcy to those affected by the storm."
POLARIS BREAKS GROUND ON MAJOR FACILITY EXPANSION
Company's Product Development Center in Wyoming, Minn. will more than double in square footage ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MINNEAPOLIS (September 28, 2012) - Polaris Industries Inc. (NYSE: PII) today broke ground on an expansion of the Company's Product Development Center near Wyoming, Minn. Since opening in 2005, the 126,000 square foot research and development facility has been pivotal in Polaris' ascent to the top of the global powersports market.
"Opening the Wyoming facility seven years ago reinforced Polaris' dedication to leading through innovation," said Scott Wine, Polaris CEO. "Continuously improving our technology, and incorporating those advances into our vehicles, is the cornerstone of our success, and expanding our Product Development Center paves the way for its future contributions."
Wine, along with other Polaris executives and political and civic leaders, took center stage at the ground-breaking ceremony earlier today, driving shovels into the ground in a ceremonial start to the construction project. The event also was attended by Polaris employees and notable Minnesotan politicians and business leaders, including U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, U.S. Congressman Chip Cravaack and Commissioner Mark Phillips of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).
"We are thankful for our continued partnership with Polaris, and excited that they chose to expand operations here in Minnesota," DEED Commissioner Phillips said. "This investment is an important boost to the local economy and will help maintain Polaris' place as an industry leader and innovator."
GREATER MSP, the region's economic development partnership, coordinated the involvement of Polaris, Chisago County, the City of Wyoming, and DEED, to compile a package of financial incentives to help Polaris expand. A combination of job training support, infrastructure improvements, R & D credits, JOBZ financing and other incentives provided a unique opportunity for Polaris' project.
The expansion of the Wyoming facility will add 144,000 square feet to the existing building, more than doubling its size. This new space will provide large work bays for off-road vehicles, flexible conference and display space, a new electrical lab, and a new EMI room. The extra space will also allow expansion of the café and kitchen and add a new parking lot for additional employees. The construction effort will be led by Ryan Companies, US, the same firm that led construction on the original building in 2005.
"We were excited when Polaris chose Ryan to construct its Product Development Center in 2005, and we're feeling that excitement again as we partner with Polaris to expand the facility," said Pat Ryan, CEO and president, Ryan Companies, US, Inc. "Ryan is similar to Polaris in many ways, from our values to our rich history and Minnesota roots. It's our privilege to partner with another great company on a project like this. We look forward to getting started."
The project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2013.
