Whether you've already hit your golden years or are planning ahead for the day you will retire, it's time to ask yourself .... "Will I be a trail blazer?"

We already know that those who remain active, both mentally and physically, have a slower rate of memory decline. We also know that they live longer and have a lower risk of disability. So it is no surprise that the Older American's Month (May) theme encourages our aging population to stay in the game, and better yet, lead the pack.

So what will it be for you? Will you start a new
business after retirement? Or maybe, travel the world? What's holding you back from making your mark?

over $35,000 for three LSMNJ programs. New Visions Homeless Day Shelter in Camden, the Good Samaritan Fund, and affordable housing ministries all benefited from the night's proceeds.

Guests played a variety of casino games all in the name of a good cause. The favorite of the night seemed to be roulette, where winning numbers kept guests happy. Nutrition Management provided a delicious assortment of food. The seafood table and signature drink, each surrounded by an ice sculpture, added to the festive

atmosphere of the night. The host sponsor for the event, Rafael Haciski, The Graham Company, commented, "We are proud to partner with LSMNJ and, collectively, address issues of homelessness in our community." "If not for LSMNJ Foundation board members and partners, the everyday shelter and comfort we offer through LSMNJ's diverse programs and services would not be possible," added Beth Gebhart. Calling Hearts of Hope an all-around success, she noted, "The event was a real team effort--from members of the board to the folks serving dinner--and everyone had a great time."
