January 2016 E-Newsletter

Happy New Year! 2016 is here and we are already off and running. There's no time to waste - there's so much to do.

The New Year promises to be full of excitement for LSMNJ and its many programs. We have already welcomed a few new faces to the organization, and are in the process of completing some facility enhancements at Lutheran Crossings.

Without a crystal ball, we cannot say for sure all that 2016 has in store for us -- but we know we will continue to bring new families together through adoption, deliver quality healthcare to seniors, and provide affordable housing for seniors and families -- among many other services.

As always, thank you for being a partner in our journey and for supporting us and our mission. We look forward to sharing with you all that the New Year has to offer LSMNJ!

LUTHERAN CROSSINGS FACILITY ENHANCEMENTS
Sometimes it's the little things that mean the most. Who doesn't enjoy a well-lit, warm place to call home, or to get their hair styled in? Fortunately for Lutheran Crossings' residents, they will enjoy all the 'little' perks of the facility's recent upgrades, which include:
  • All new energy efficient LED lighting has been
L to R: Carol-Anne Peacock, AVP, Investors Bank Branch Mgr - Maple Shade; Colleen Frankenfield, LSMNJ President & CEO; Andrea Bondy, AVP, Investors Bank Branch Mgr - Vincentown; and Beth Gebhart, Executive Director, Fund Development & LSMNJ Foundation.
installed throughout the facility common areas and skilled care resident rooms. This has produced a much brighter environment for residents and has reduced energy costs.
  • New boilers have been installed providing energy savings and a cozy climate for the cold winter months.
  • A Cogeneration System is under construction which will supplement electricity and hot water for the facility.
  • The beauty salon will undergo a complete 'facelift' renovation over the coming months.
The beauty salon will be renovated thanks to the generosity of Investors Bank and the Roma Bank Community Foundation, who recently awarded $6,000 in grant funding to Lutheran Crossings.  Read more.
