Lutheran Disaster Response

September is a busy month!  Among other special observances, we're celebrating National Emergency Prepardeness Month, Hunger Action Month, and National Assisted Living Week.

Did you know that when it comes to frequency of natural disasters, New Jersey has six counties rated among the top 15 * most dangerous in the country?
That's right! Ocean, Cape May, Monmouth, Burlington, Atlantic, and Camden were among the most dangerous counties in the whole United States!
This tells us, that the work of LSMNJ through Lutheran Disaster Response will continue to be of great importance. Be prepared! Visit to prepare your family or click here for more on preparedness info for your congregation.

It's Hunger Action Month and we're here to offer some easy  ways to make a difference in the fight against hunger.

Little did we know when Lee Doty accepted a part-time position in 2006, as general counsel, what an asset her professional versatility would prove to be. Years later, Lee's role was extended to full-time Chief Legal Officer and a member of the senior leadership team.

Recently, Lee's accountabilities were expanded to include oversight of several important LSMNJ departments and programs: Human Resources, Housing, Lutheran Senior LIFE, Immigration & Refugee Services, and Purchasing & Plant Operations.

Lee's promotion to Senior Vice President and General Counsel is a direct reflection of her dedication to the mission of LSMNJ and her compassion for serving New Jersey's disadvantaged.
