Lutheran Disaster Response

Finding a four-leaf clover is hard to do, but is a great discovery. Each one of its leaves is believed to represent something. The first is for faith, the second is for hope, the third is for love, and the fourth is for luck.

The irony of this little green treasure is how closely its symbolism represents the work of LSMNJ. Our ministries restore faith in those who need help, and offer hope in situations that leave a person feeling lost and alone. God's love guides us to lift one's spirits and return them to a place of self-sufficiency. LSMNJ's work is seen by many as a 'lucky charm' -- leading them to our various programs and services.

Join Our Next Hand-In-Hand Service Day

APRIL 12, 2014

Are you looking for a way to give back to your community?  Join LSMNJ for our next "Hand in Hand" service day. Together, we assist those displaced by superstorm Sandy, and help them recover from its devastation. Together, volunteers of all ages gather to do yard work, move belongings and furniture, and complete handyman jobs; we have even cleaned up a wildlife refuge and a relief center.

To sign up for the next service date, or to learn more, please contact Alex Elefante at aelefante@lsmnj.org or visit lsmnj.org.

Future dates are May 10th, June 21st, July 19th, and August 16th.
