In this workshop, we will cover the types of patient data that are now available and how researchers can search for patient cohorts of interest and then appropriately access information about these patients, depending on the needs of their study. For studies that would involve patient contact, we will describe our processes for extracting and using patient data. 
 
UCLA IDRE is pleased to announce upcoming summer courses: Harness the Power of GPU's: Intro to GPGPU Programming (June 16-20, 2014) and Data Intensive Summer School (June 30 - July 2, 2014). These courses, hosted virtually by UCLA-IDRE, are free for UCLA researchers/students.
