MSSC & Tri-State Area (OH-IN-KY)

With IN and OH now the two leading MSSC user states in the USA and with KY accelerating its MSSC program, The Southwestern Ohio Workforce Investment Board (SWORWIB), in collaboration with the GE Learning Center, hosted an Executive Briefing, "MSSC in TriState OH-IN-KY" in earlier this month.

The briefing included presentations by secondary and post-secondary educators, company representatives, and workforce investment and economic development representatives.

The combination of high unemployment among recent high school and college graduates, retiring baby boomers and ever-increasing use of advanced technology in both manufacturing and logistics means that states who wish to attract and retain companies who employ their residents must have a skilled workforce.  In fact, a skilled workforce is a top consideration for companies when choosing a new location or expansion.

Learn more about how the Tri-State Area is bringing together multiple stakeholder communities to deploy MSSC, helping their workforce get the skills necessary to compete in today's job market and putting people on an M&L career pathway that leads to the middle class.
