Student Email Update

As you may have heard, all Connecticut Community College students were assigned an email address as of October 1, 2012. Starting January 1, 2013, this will be the only email address we will use to communicate with our students. This means we have roughly two months to get the word out and help the students login to their new email account.

We have waited to do a major announcement to students until some of the implementation issues have been worked out, and we are now preparing to begin a marketing campaign to let students know about their new email address. Over the next few weeks you will begin to see posters around campus to inform students of their new email account as well as notices sent through other media.

We can all help get the word out by making sure that students in your classes and offices know that they should login to myCommNet and click on the Student Tab to find their new email address and view instructions for logging in. If they have trouble logging in to their new email account, they can call the MCC Help Desk at 860-512-3456.
