                           Harvest Time!
2014 has undoubtedly been the most challenging harvest in our 25 years of farming.
The very warm weather prompted the earliest harvest ever at the end of August for
 our early ripening grapes.
Our wonderful crews worked 3 weeks without a break, picking more than 40 tons each day and shipping out 3 to 4 freightliners to the many wineries that use our fruit. We can now relax a little and let the 25% of our remaining fruit enjoy the predicted perfect ripening weather.  By the end of harvest, we will have picked over 1,000 tons!! That's a lot of grapes!!  Our winemakers are telling us that the 2014 grapes are excellent, and we are all happily looking forward to a great vintage and exceptional wines.  Cheers!

Here we go again . . . it's the same thing year
after year. "Should I serve red or white with my Thanksgiving meal?"  "What wine goes with turkey?" "Does wine go with pie?"

Well, here's some "sage" advice.  Go to South Stage Cellars on Saturday, November 8, and taste for yourself.  Sample a 5 course, bite-sized Thanksgiving dinner paired with wines that will perfectly complement your special meal.

5:00 - 7:00 pm.  $10 per person.

Make your reservations soon - this bird-brained idea is going to sell out quickly!

Coming Spring 2015, South Stage Cellars Rising Stars Season 4!!!

Local musicians compete for the title of South Stage Cellars Rising Star while helping raise money for a local non-profit.  Prior season winners have received prizes including: cash, recording time at a local state-of-the-are studio, gift certificates, an interview with JPR, Southern Oregon magazine, and other media exposure.

Over the past three years, this event has raised over $25,000 for local non-profits. We are pleased to announce that voting proceeds for 2015 Season 4 will benefit "LifeArt," (Live, Inspire: Freedom of Expression). LifeArt gives local teens a creative outlet for expressing
their feelings through art, and pairs them with mentors who encourage them to use this self expression to cope with stress as an alternative to substance abuse, depression, and high risk behavior.

We are anticipating another exciting musical season, and invite you to join us for this life-changing event in the Rogue Valley.

Musicians, please submit your audio or video "audition" to porscha111@gmail.com (amateur videos accepted).
