Seeking Communications Coordinator
The Orion Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a full-time Communications Coordinator. Major responsibilities include compiling and writing content for The Monday Motivator and for the What's the Biz section of The Lake Orion Review, as well as writing, tracking, and scheduling all other Chamber communications. Qualified candidates will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and in a collaborative process, follow-through and attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and computer skills. Knowledge of Constant Contact and Google Drive preferred.

Health Body, Healthy Mind Expo Sponsorships Available

OACC Seeking Board of Directors Applicants

Have you ever wondered what the Chamber's Board of Directors does, or perhaps you've considered running for a position on the Chamber Board. Join us on Wednesday August 12th from 9 to 10:30am for an informative overview of Board member responsibilities, and see if you would like to serve on our Board of Directors. Blessings in a Backpack Receives Grant From AT&T

Blessings in a Backpack - Lake Orion is a committee of parents, local business owners, community members, and educators operating in partnership with the national Blessings in a Backpack organization and Meijer. The organization provides at-risk student with a backpack containing six nutritious meals to feed them over the weekend.

The awarded grant from AT&T will provide 300 low-income Lake Orion students with backpacks filled with healthy meals and snacks. AT&T's contribution to Blessings in a Backpack - Lake Orion exemplifies the two organizations' shared goal of investing in local communities.
