                  | | Greetings!

It seems the weather here on Cape Cod can't quite decide what to do these days. We don't have that problem at Habitat. We just keep on building! In the rain, in the snow, or in the sunshine. Read on to learn more about our work.

Generosity at WorkFor more information, see our website . And... Please help us spread the word - Applications are still available for Orleans. Information on our website here . The land at Ginger Lane was privately donated to Habitat, after an unfortunate fire that resulted in the previous home burning down. We currently have a CPC grant application pending with the town of Barnstable to help us fund this home, and we are actively fundraising to support this build. Your donation counts! To donate to a specific build, contact our office at 508-362-3559 or click here - and be sure to specify which home you would like your donation to support, using the "comments" box. Last December, when we first publicly announced that we would be building a new home on Ginger Lane, we received a phone call from Gus Riley of the Centerville-Osterville-Marston's Mills Fire Department. Gus told us that the firefighters at C-O-MM wanted to donate their services to help roof the new home. These same firefighters attended the fire at Ginger Lane, and they now want to give back to the community by helping to re-build a new home at that spot. At Habitat, we are lucky to witness generosity of this sort again and again - town departments, the staff of an entire town, contractors, individuals, students, and businesses who give of themselves to help others. We benefit from this generosity in countless ways - this type of support, naturally, enables us to build more homes, but it also renews our conviction and warms our hearts. Too often, we hear troubling news about the world we live in. But Gus's phone call, like so many other offers of assistance we see, remind us that our world is also filled with grace - and that we should never stop working to improve it. |

 Cars for Homes
Car donations are another way to support the mission of Habitat for Humanity. If you have an older car, truck, van, trailer, RV or boat taking up valuable space in your yard, consider donating it to support our affordable housing mission. It is quick and easy to donate a vehicle whether it runs or not!   Plus, you may be eligible for a tax deduction (consult your tax advisor or the IRS for details).
To donate, call (877) 277-4344 toll free - or learn more about donating a car to Habitat online.   It's a convenient way to support Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod - and create more space in your driveway! | | | Click on the image to see the vehicle of the month |
What can you donate? CarTruckBoatRVMotorcycleConstruction or farm equipmentAny other vehicle - running or not!
Why donate? Proceeds from the sale of your car help your local Habitat for Humanity build houses with families in need. You may receive a tax deduction if you itemize.Recycling your car saves energy and natural resources.
Vehicle donations are processed by Habitat for Humanity's nationally authorized agent, Advanced Remarketing Services, who properly transfers titles, arranges towing, sells donated vehicles, provides tax receipts to donors and reports to the IRS, as necessary.

Net proceeds and donor contact information are distributed to affiliates by matching the zip code of the donor to the Habitat for Humanity affiliate who services the donor's community. A donor who wishes to designate a vehicle donation to benefit a specific HFHI program or a Habitat for Humanity affiliate outside their local community can do so by calling the Cars for Homes toll free number, 1-877-277-4344, and giving the customer service representative the name of the affiliate that they wish to support. |
