Many Thanks to Cape Air
For four years in a row, Cape Air has been a loyal supporter of Habitat here on Cape Cod. This year's Cape Air team installed blueboard at our Mashpee site on November 27th. Cape Air is always a hardworking team and a great fundraiser!

Click on the picture of the poster to see it larger - these photo images are truly  spectacular. The 42-by-16 inch posters make fantastic gifts, and best of all, $30.00 of each sale will be donated to Habitat to help Cape Cod families build a home of their own!

Application Deadline
for two three-bedroom homes to be built at 6 and 9 Park Place, Mashpee

Greetings!

As we wind down to the end of the year, our thoughts turn to the new homes that we will be finishing in 2013, and the families that will be moving in and starting a new life in those homes. In this e-newsletter you will find a brief construction update on those five houses, as well as other news.

ConstructionConstruction Update

It won't be long before we are announcing home dedication ceremonies! You can look for those in 2013. In the meantime, here is a brief update on the five homes we started in 2012.

Bourne - This home is nearing the end of construction. We are currently working on inside trim and cabinet installation and anticipate completing the home in late January.

Eastham - We have just started on interior paint for these two homes. Flooring and interior trim work will start soon and construction work will continue into February.

Mashpee - Blueboard was recently installed and the home is now awaiting plastering. We expect the plaster to be dry and the home ready for volunteers after the new year. Work on the interior will likely continue until the end of March.

Truro - We are just now completing the exterior work on this home, and it will be closed to volunteers until the plumbing and electrical are complete, and we have passed all inspections. Work is expected to continue after the first of the year and our plan is to complete the home in May. Many thanks to Kenny Wheeler for donating electrician services to this home.
VolunteerVolunteer Spotlight
A poem by Nancy Erskine

Here's a salute to the Angel five
Next year's kayak in progress

Who on four evenings of music live

In Harwichport did set up shop

Sent kayak raffle sales over the top

There was cheerleader Alison-full of vim

Plus John and Gerry and Larry and Jim

Who could resist them ? You'd have to be daft

To turn down a chance on that handsome craft

So now in the record book Angels abide

With a well-deserved share of Habitat pride.

Congratulations, Angels!

Our thanks to Nancy Erskine, a woman of many talents!

All our kayak volunteers are so appreciated! Without the dedication of our kayak builders, ticket coordinators, and raffle ticket sellers, we could not have raised over $27,000 to build more houses for families in need here on Cape Cod. Not only is the kayak itself a work of art, but it also remains one of our most important fundraisers.

Many thanks to you all!

If I have inadvertently left anyone out, my sincere apologies. Please be sure to let me know so I can make the appropriate correction. Thank you,
