A poem by Nancy Erskine
Here's a salute to the Angel five
 |
Next year's kayak in progress |
Who on four evenings of music live
In Harwichport did set up shop
Sent kayak raffle sales over the top
There was cheerleader Alison-full of vim
Plus John and Gerry and Larry and Jim
Who could resist them ? You'd have to be daft
To turn down a chance on that handsome craft
So now in the record book Angels abide
With a well-deserved share of Habitat pride.
Congratulations, Angels! Our thanks to Nancy Erskine, a woman of many talents! All our kayak volunteers are so appreciated! Without the dedication of our kayak builders, ticket coordinators, and raffle ticket sellers, we could not have raised over $27,000 to build more houses for families in need here on Cape Cod. Not only is the kayak itself a work of art, but it also remains one of our most important fundraisers.
Many thanks to you all!Jeanne Adams, Harry Andrews and Victoria, Bob & Marie Becker, Priscilla & Parker Chick, Charles Christie, Carolyn Crowell, Len DiLorenzo, Annmarie Garceau, Bill and Nancy Erskine, Paulette Fehlig, Larry Hake, Dot and Gerry Hannon, Dave Hegner, Kathy Herrick, John and Alison Kaar, Jake Ketchum, Kathleen Kilmer, Jayne Lane, Barb & Rob Leiden, Jim Lilley, Gerry Loftus, George and Ann Mahon, Mary Maraggio, Joe Mistretta, Susan Moeller, Bill and Judith Page, Judy Parmelee, Emma Stevens, Pat Taylor, Christine Twombly, Lauren Twombly, Bill Witmer.
If I have inadvertently left anyone out, my sincere apologies. Please be sure to let me know so I can make the appropriate correction. Thank you,
