Greetings!
We now have three houses in active construction and our next build will be starting in August. It's a busy summer! Here's an update on all our news.

 You've Got Mail Success!
Our You've Got Mail auction raised $23,000 this year! Thanks so much to the wonderful artists who shared their talent and our hard-working auction team for making this success possible. It was truly a beautiful evening, with amazing art, auction items, music by Bruce Abbott and delicious food. Thanks to all our artists, chefs, donors, and volunteers - we couldn't have done it without you!

 ReStore Expanding
We're adding space to the ReStore - creating a new facility in the back of the building for storage and receiving donations. This will free up more space in the main store to display our always changing inventory of furniture, appliances, kitchen cabinets, and building supplies. There's always something new at the ReStore! Come visit us at 28 White's Path to see for yourself. And if you're looking for a volunteer job with a group of truly fun people, the ReStore is the place for you. In this picture, DJ Sullivan, Dick Roberts, and Fred Thimme are building shelves to hold all that fantastic merchandise. Not in the picture: Howard Taubner.

 Thanks and Kudos
Three new Habitat homes are currently under construction, and well underway. At Flintlock Lane in Bourne, we've raised all the walls, put up and covered the roof, and installed windows, doors, and foam insulation. Sidewall shingling starts this week. In Eastham, # 1 Sandy Meadow Way has exterior and interior walls, the roof is up, and the windows and doors have been put in - the next steps will be to complete the window and door trim and start sidewall shingling. At #2 Sandy Meadow Way, all the exterior walls are up, and the interior walls are now being raised. We are also preparing the trusses that hold up the roof. Over 150 individuals working more than 3,000 volunteer hours have contributed to the construction of these homes. It isn't possible to list everybody by name here, but to all of you who have helped out on one of these build sites, we want you to know that your hard work is making a difference toward bringing decent, affordable homes to those on Cape Cod who need them. The Hughes-Miglorino Family

We're Building in Mashpee
We will be raising walls in Mashpee on August 25th at 24 Russell Road - a three bedroom Cape with farmer's porch and the future home of the Hughes-Miglorino family. We hope you can join us for the wall raising - always a special day - and for future construction days on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and some Saturdays. Very soon you will be able to see the schedule for this build on VolunteerUP, our on-line volunteer registration system. In addition to construction volunteers, we are looking for food, registration, and devotions volunteers, as well as volunteer coordinators.
