Yes, we are building!

This photo, and the one above, were taken at the Wall Raising of 6 Flintlock Lane in Bourne. We are now in active construction and looking for volunteers on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Check out VolunteerUp to register, or contact Dawn Walnut at 508-362-3559 ex. 16 or [email protected].

If you want to volunteer in Bourne, don't be afraid of crossing the bridge! The build site is just five minutes from the Cape Cod Canal and work on the Sagamore Bridge has ended - an easy commute. Directions here.

Wall Raising - Our next build at Sandy Meadow Way in Eastham starts this weekend. We will be  building two new homes at this site. Please tell your friends about the wall raising on June 2nd - it is always very moving when the community gathers to bless the new walls.

Walkers Wanted
We're looking for a few good men and women to walk with Habitat in Walk for Love.

Each year, Bob Murray, executive director of the Falmouth Housing Authority, walks from Provincetown to Falmouth to draw attention to the issue of housing and help raise money for housing organizations. Habitat is proud to be joining in this walk for its Harwich leg on Wednesday, July 11. Over the past ninteeen years, the Housing With Love Walk has raised over $3.6 million for various housing organizations.

You don't have to walk all the way from P-Town to Falmouth! But we do hope you'll join us for 4.4 miles in Harwich on July 11. You can pick up a form if you'd like to take pledges and raise funds, or just walk in your Habitat T-shirt so everyone gets to see us!
