We have totally revamped our web site and want to know what you think! Our web address is still the same: www.habitatcapecod.org but everything else is brand new! Of course, we are not perfect and we'd love to know if we've missed something, misspelled something, or got something wrong!

So let us know...and thanks for all you do for us!

Welcome Bob Ryley!

We are pleased to announce that Bob Ryley of Brewster has joined our staff as the new Director of Construction. Bob has worked for many years as a carpenter and general contractor, building homes throughout Cape Cod and the Islands. He has a reputation for quality and an additional interest and training in "green" construction.

He first became acquainted with Habitat for Humanity as a carpenter on Bob Vila's Home Again show, participating in a Habitat Blitz build in Yonkers, New York. He looked us up when he returned to the Cape, and jumped in to help out as a lead framing volunteer in Orleans in 2001. Since that time, even as a busy professional, he has made himself available for special projects and when most needed. During various times he has served on our construction committee, on our Board of Directors, and as a classroom and on-site trainer for our Training House sessions back when Pat Taylor was on staff. He has successfully led volunteer crews on other Habitat sites - including taking turns as a house leader during two of our Youth United builds - in Hyannis, and in Brewster.

Bob has a deep commitment to the families we serve, the quality of the homes we build, and to making sure that our volunteer construction days or safe, fun, and productive. We hope you will welcome him warmly, as he gets to know our very extended local "Habitat family."
