Snow's Home & Garden Celebrates Habitat! | |
"Benefit beads" are a new part of the popular My Cape/My Town collectible beads and was started in August 2010 at Snow's Home and Garden. Like the other beads, these are created by local artists and are unique pieces of art. Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod is one of the chosen organizations and was the featured bead last August. The beads are still on sale and $10 of every bead sold goes to our organization so we hope you will visit Snow's today and buy your Habitat Benefit bead. These beads are beautiful and can go on bracelets and necklaces and are compatible with the popular Pandora bracelets. Snow's Home & Garden, 22 Main Street, Orleans, MA

Greetings!
Happy almost summer! Though our construction schedule is a mite slow right now, there is still lots going on here at HHCC! We are preparing for the Orleans build this August, working on finding a location for our new ReStore, working on approvals for next year's builds and much much more!
Please come to our Open House on Thursday, June 9th from 4- 6:30 PM. Tour our new offices, chat with board and staff, enjoy some light refreshments and find out our plans for this year and the years to come.
Our address: 411 Main Street (Route 6A), Suite 6, Yarmouthport For information on volunteering for the Orleans build, (we will have very limited volunteer opportunities due to the size of the house), please contact Joanne Broderick, Volunteer Coordinator at 508-240-5860 or email her at joannebroderick@comcast. net
Thank you again for all you do for us! Peace, hilary |
In Memoriam

We note with great sadness the passing of Alexander (Alex) Isaac Pisarchuk, age 13, who passed away on May 14, 2011. We ask that you hold the Pisarchuk family- Lora and Chris and their young son Leland - in your hearts and prayers. We built a Habitat home in partnership with the Pisarchuk family in Brewster in 2008 - a WomenBuild house. Alex had wide ranging interests and a zest for life. He was described at his memorial as " 'Alex the Great' .. a young man with a magnetic spirit and an amazing personality, with a contagious laugh and a beautiful smile ... He leaves behind a legacy of hope, courage, humor, joy and love."
Memorial donations, to help with the costs of his service and burial would be welcomed by the family and may be made to Rockland Trust, P.O. Box 146, Orleans MA 02653 (or at any Rockland Trust Branch) c/o Alexander Memorial Fund.

We also mourn the death of Elizabeth "Betty" Briana, beloved wife of long-time Habitat volunteer Anthony "Mike" Briana. Betty died peacefully on June 5, 2011. Mike and Betty were married for 62 years! Mike and Betty have been supporters of Habitat since 1993 and Mike helped us in the construction of 10 homes over the past 18 years. We send our condolences to Mike and his family.
