Greetings!

We sure are lucky that we haven't gotten the huge snows that our "over the bridge" friends have received, though I can't say the weather has been great...but through it all work on our sites on Fox Hill Road, Timberlane Drive and Lakewood Drive continues.  By the end of April all three homes will be completed and the families will be enjoying their first Spring in their new home. Ah Spring...will it ever come?

We can still use help at our Timberlane Women Build and Lakewood sites. Fox Hill Road is coming to an end and we seem to be on track to finish on-time with the volunteer positions already filled- please join us for the dedication celebration of Fox Hill Road on Saturday February 19th at 2 PM. All the information is on our on-line calendar on Volunteer Up. You can also call Susan Lauber, Volunteer Coordinator for the Mashpee builds and let her know what you are interested in you and she can find just the right place for you! If you are a new volunteer, just go to our web site,

www.habitatcapecod.org
and click on the Volunteer Up button (like the one below) and sign up!

Kudos to long-time Upper Cape Chapter Volunteer Anne Stillwell who was presented with the first-ever Upper Cape Chapter Lifetime Achievement award at the monthly Chapter meeting on January 3. Mary Scanlan  presented Anne with her award and some Habitat merchandise that she can wear proudly letting others know of her good works for us!

Disaster Relief Trip: Fred Yarger, our faithful coordinator for our Disaster relief trips has reported to us that after careful consideration of possible places to go, the leadership team has decided to not commit to a trip this year and bank the funds raised for next year or if an emergency disaster relief situation arises. Thank you to all our volunteers who have gone on these trips to help rebuild disaster stricken areas in the Gulf Coast.

Come Celebrate with us! Habitat Home Dedication

                           Martina framing

67 Fox Hill Road, Mashpee

Saturday, February 19th at 2 PM

Come to one of the best heartwarming events that Habitat has: the dedication of a new home for a new Habitat homeowner. 67 Fox Hill Road is the future home of Martina Guess and her family and on February 19th we will celebrate the building of this home and all the volunteers and donors who made it happen. Please join us! Please arrive early to tour the home before the ceremony begins and be sure to park carefully in consideration of our neighbors. Carpooling is encouraged!

Snow's Home & Garden Celebrates Habitat!

"Benefit beads" are a new part of the popular My Cape/My Town collectible beads and was started in August 2010 at Snow's Home and Garden. Like the other beads, these are created by local artists and are unique pieces of art. Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod is one of the chosen organizations and was the featured bead last August. The beads are still on sale and $10 of every bead sold goes to our organization so we hope you will visit Snow's today and buy your Habitat Benefit bead. These beads are beautiful and can go on bracelets and necklaces and are compatible with the popular Pandora bracelets.
