It's time for Week 8 of your Summer Share!

We are in the heat of the summer now, and brighter-colored veggies are going to start filling up your bags where there was once only green. Along with all the heat we've been having some intense storms, so please remember to bring an umbrella to your stop this week in case we do get hit with some of the predicted rain!

Another quick reminder: due to the RNC, we have cancelled the downtown stops this week. If you normally pick up at either the 5th Street Arcades Location or the Playhouse Square Stop, please head to another location for your bag this week (Tremont is your next closest location.) If you place a special order, please just send us an email (info@freshforkmarket.com) and we will make sure it's re-routed to the correct location.

What's in the bag: coming your way this week, you'll see kale, carrots, green beans, red potatoes, medium hot peppers, yellow squash and broccoli! Perfect for some summer slaws, a Salad Nicoise (traditionally made with potatoes, green beans, tomatoes, eggs and fish, but there are loads of fun variations you can find online.) The Omnivores will be enjoying a packet (4 links per) of our juicy, green onion brats and the Vegan and Vegetarians will have some candy beets and leeks, and our Large subscribers will get some extra produce to round out this heavy bag.

Thanks to everyone who came out to Family Farm Field Day at Wholesome Valley this past weekend! Thousands of people got together to learn and share tips and stories about homesteading, animal husbandry, and growing organic produce. This event happens only once a year, but you're always welcome down at Wholesome Valley Farm (open Mon-Sat, 8-5pm) to see the farm, the produce and the animals, and to shop at the Farm Store.

The Family Farm Field Day was a blast this year-- thanks to everyone who came down to the farm!
Reminders
We are canceling the downtown stops due to the RNC this week.

We will not be running the 5th Street Arcades or the Playhouse Square Stops this week-- Thursday the 21st of July--due to the RNC.

The next closest stop is in Tremont, which is on Saturdays from 10:00am - 2:00pm, but you're welcome to come pick up your share at any other location and you don't need to let us know beforehand.

If you would like to place a Special Order, please go ahead and place it and then write to us (info@freshforkmarket.com) to let us know where you'll be picking up so we can make sure it's sorted for the correct route.

If you have an allergy or a dietary restriction, please tell your Greeter when you pick up.

We do have your allergy information on file if you registered it, but it's not immediately visible on our handhelds when we look at your account. So if you notice something on the bag contents sheets that you can't eat, it's safer and faster for everyone if you just let your Greeter when you get your bag that you don't eat pork or are allergic to onions.

However, this does not mean you get to swap out something just because you don't like it. You may never have tried beets that taste this good before, so don't judge a veggie before you try these! We also try to provide you with plenty of recipes to prepare everything in your bag each week, and we hope you find some new favorite go-to meals.
