Hi there!
It's time for Week 5 of your Summer Share, and happy early 4th of July!
We know a lot of people grill out and have friends and family over for the holiday, so whether you're going to the parade, the park or just having a quiet summer night in with the family, definitely place a Special Order for extra food! We will have lots of grillables on the trucks this week for purchase, but to guarantee your order, it's best to just place it ahead of time.
A couple of mini-housekeeping updates:
We apologize for the Italian Sausage and Ground Beef mix up at some of the stops last week. If this happened to you Thursday people, we'll be fixing it for you this week.
Breakfast Patties are back in stock! If you haven't tried them, they are DELICIOUS. Bacon comes in nice long even strips, but pork belly does not. Waste not, so we mixed it up with some of our pork sausage made the world's most delicious mini-breakfast patties. Either sear them first and finish in a 350 oven (roughly 15-20 min) or do it the other way around (Trevor's method, bake first and sear at the end)-- both work really well! They will still be slightly pink in the center when fully cooked because of the bacon.
The egg shortage will soon come to an end! Right now we are in transition between flocks and moving to a true heritage laying hen. We have one group of birds that are hardly laying while the new flock is just starting. Ideally they would overlap, but they aren't cooperating. That's to be expected in a small-scale farming operation, but not in a manufacturing operation.
On the bright side, the eggs are very fresh as we have to collect daily and ship to just fill our minimum orders. To learn more about our chickens and eggs and what comes first in our books (quality!), click here for the story.
What's in the bag: The omnivores will be getting some of our delicious, grass-fed ground beef in their bags, perfect for burger making, and the large omnivores will also get a rack of ribs for the grill. Everyone will be getting a head of green cabbage, a bunch of delicious greens and summer vegetables and we're planning on the first blueberries and tomatoes of the season, too! That's something to celebrate with this fourth of July!
Thanks to everyone who came out to our Grilling class last night! We had a blast out on the patio, and left stuffed. If you missed it but were planning on grilling out, check out Adam's Guide to Making a Great Burger on our website.

| Not all pasture-raised eggs are the same, as you can tell by the two yolks above (Wholesome Valley Farm's bright orange egg on the bottom left, and another local farm that sells pastured eggs on the top right.) The difference is in the pasture program. Click on the picture to learn more about how our laying hens make the best eggs around. |

Mill Road entrance to St. Basil's closed this week and next.
FYI to everyone who picks up this week and next in Brecksville-- the Mill Road entrance will be closed for a pipe repair both this Wednesday and next. Please use the Brecksville Road entrance instead!
Place a Special Order for 4th of July BBQs
Of course, we will have tons of extras for sale at the trucks, too, so don't worry if you haven't made up your mind yet.
Sweet, dark red cherries for sale!
We'll have some sweet, dark red cherries for sale on the routes this week-- pick some up for just $5 a pint!
We are canceling the downtown stops during the convention.
We will not be running the 5th Street Arcades or the Playhouse Square Stops on Thursday the 14th or Thursday the 21st of July due to the RNC. The next closest stop is in Tremont, which is on Saturdays from 10:00am-2:00pm, but you're welcome to come pick up your share at any other location and you don't need to let us know beforehand. If you would like to place a Special Order during those weeks, please go ahead and place it and then write to us ( info@freshforkmarket.com) to let us know where you'll be picking up so we can make sure it's sorted for the correct route.

Stuff to Grill!
For those who love to grill out, we've got a bunch of different delicious meats to try on your grills this summer! We'll also try to bring along a bunch of extra veggies for grilling, too.
Sausages, Brats & Links
Italian Sausage Links: This is our most versatile sausage. Salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes add a slight zing to this fresh sausage. 4 big links, 1.25# per package. Roast in oven, stuff into peppers, or grill over slow, indirect heat.
$7/pack
Kielbasa: A garlic forward, smoked link. 4 links per pack, 1.25# per package. This sausage is great braised with cabbage or kraut, seared on a skillet and finished in the oven, or grilled over indirect heat.
$8/pack
Andouille: A fine-textured, smokey and slightly spicy Spanish-style sausage. 4 smoked links per package, 1.25# per package. This is one of my favorite grillers. It is hard to dry out, it bursts with flavor, and has a great crunch.
$8/pack
Turkey Mushroom Bratwursts: Chef Adam Lambert's delicious red-wine & mushroom turkey bratwursts, new recipe as of this past winter. These are pretty lean, so be careful if grilling.
$9/pack
Green Onion Bratwursts: 4 big, fresh links per package. 1.25# per package. These mild brats have a slight onion flavor that is the prefect compliment to some mustard and a side of potato salad.
$7/pack
Beer Bratwursts: Made with Market Garden Brewery ale. 4 big links, 1.25# per package. The beer adds a sweet, malty note to the sausage.
$8/pack
