Nov 04, 2013   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thank you for your support this summer.  We had a great summer season and we are now ready to begin the winter season.  Below you will find the contents of this week's winter bag.

If you have subscribed already, you will receive a confirmation email specific to your pickup location.  That will be sent later this afternoon.

If you have not yet subscribed, we expect the last minute folks to jump in.  Here's how.  Just reply to this email and let us know that you want to be in and at which pickup location.  We have 100 extra bags for this week.

Winter 13/14 Preview:

This week's center of the plate item is a whole chicken.  I really wanted to feature a pork shoulder, but we need to feature chickens sometime this month and with Thanksgiving just three weeks away, we figured let's get the bird in early.  These first few weeks expect some heavy bags.  We have to watch the weather closely and adapt based on that.

Next week you can expect a pork shoulder roast and the week after that a pizza pack and maybe beef roast.

We expect to feature mostly root vegetables and leafy greens from now thru the end of the year then dive into the frozen vegetables, including the sweet corn, beans, peas, chopped tomatoes, and berries.

For those of you who still haven't registered, remember that we deliver weekly for the first three weeks up to Thanksgiving, then go every other week for the remainder of the winter. Each package is $45.  There are 15 total deliveries throughout the winter and most pickup locations remain.  For full details and a schedule of locations, please visit:  Winter 13/14 Overview

Thanksgiving Beer Dinner:  Monday, November 11th at 6:30 PM

The price includes tax and tip.  In short, this is a $45 full dinner and beer pairing with your tax and tip included for a grand total price of $60.  Full details and registration can be found at this link: Thanksgivng Beer Dinner
