North GA Folk Festival

Folk music legend John McCutcheon headlines the stage, joining many other acclaimed folk music acts. Additionally there will be supervised children's activities, dozens of arts and craft demonstrations, and a variety of delicious food available.

The Athens Corn Maze is a fall attraction unto itself but there are many ways for visitors to enjoy themselves in addition to the Corn Maze, including a "Hey Hey Heyride," pony rides, farm animals, and a Corn Box for children to play in.

It's time for Terrapin's annual festival where they break open specialty casks and visitors can learn about hop growing, and home vs. professional brewing. The festival also features live music, food, and of course, the best beer in Athens!

AthFest Half Marathon
 
Race weekend kicks off Saturday October 19th with a fitness expo at The Classic Center. Then the race begins Sunday morning where runners will take a 13.1 mile trek, winding through the historic streets of the Classic City.

Wild Rumpus Halloween Parade
 
Join thousands of revelers dressed in costume as they march through downtown Athens.  New features this year include an outdoor stage and several daytime activities for kids. The parade ends with a massive party at the 40 Watt Club!

Lickskillet Artists Market
 
 
Lickskillet is a unique indoor/outdoor market which features over 50 artists booths, hands-on art activities, performances by local musicians, live art demonstrations, and food vendors. This market and festival is free and open to all ages.

Lyndon House Arts Center
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The Athens-Clarke Heritage Foundation will host a spooky two-hour tour of downtown Athens and UGA's historic North Campus, telling the tales of ghostly encounters, hauntings, superstitions, and other mysterious legends. 

October 30 & 31

Spotlight on the Arts 
The festival brings 50 arts events to Athens over nine days, including concerts, theater and dance perform-ances, art exhibitions, poetry readings, author panels and book signings, lectures and discussions on the arts and creativity, and more.
