Curbside Collection of Leaves
Curbside collection of leaves will be conducted on Wednesday, November 5 and November 19. Leaves must be at the curb by 7:30 A.M. and be placed within biodegradable paper bags purchased at the Municipal Building. Shrub clippings and cut brush may also be placed within the bags. Bags are available for purchase at $2.00 per bag. The use of bags from other sources will not be collected. Residents are encouraged to continue to use the yard waste drop-off site located at 1250 Brighton Road to dispose of their leaves and other yard waste.
Tickets Still Available for Murder Mystery Dinner on November 15
Tickets are available at the Municipal Building for the Saturday, November 15 Murder Mystery Dinner "Happily Never After" at the Venue Ballroom at Harmony Ridge Golf Course in Ambridge.  Ticket price of $35 per person includes bus transportation, show, dinner, dessert and non-alcoholic drink. Bus leaves the social hall at 5 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Brighton Township Park & Recreation Board.
Tickets Available November 3 for December 6 Dinner/Show Trip
The Brighton Township Park & Recreation Board will sponsor this trip to LPPAC on December 6 to see "A Christmas Story" and buffet dinner at the Willows  Inn, Industry. Ticket price of $40 per person includes bus transportation, show, buffet dinner, dessert and non-alcoholic drink. The bus will leave the social hall at 5 p.m. Buy your tickets at the Municipal Building.

PARK AND RECREATION BOARD and Other local EVENTS
FISH FRY Support the Brighton Township Volunteer Fire Department by attending a fish fry at the Brighton Township Fireman's Social Hall on Dutch Ridge Road from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on November 7 & 21, December 5 & 19 and January 16.  Price is $9 for adults and $8 for children.  Take outs are available.

FARMERS' MARKET
Held in the Beaver Courthouse parking lot every Saturday now thru December 20th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
 
 
NOVEMBER 1 The Brighton Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary presents "Fall Fling" featuring vendors, crafters, chinese auction, collectibles, refreshments and much more!  This event will be held at the Brighton Township Social Hall, 5400 Dutch Ridge Road, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  For information call 724-601-6204 or leave a message at 724-775-4953.

NOVEMBER 11  The tradition continues. The Brighton Township Historical Society proudly presents their annual Veterans Day program.  This yearly event salutes the efforts of the men and women of the U.S. military past and present.  Join them at 7:00 p.m. at Shultz Lodge in Two Mile Run Park.  Everyone is welcome to attend. 

NOVEMBER 15  Beaver Assembly of God, 500 Dutch Ridge Road, is having an All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon.  Breakfast also includes sausage and beverages. Take outs are available by calling 724-775-5217. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 ages 3-10. Under 3 is free. 

NOVEMBER 16  All you can eat spaghetti dinner sponsored by Troop 766 chartered by the Brighton Township Volunteer Fire Department.  This dinner will be held at the Brighton Township Social Hall at 5400 Dutch Ridge Road from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and $5 children 10 and under.

NOVEMBER 22 Tusca Ridge Garden Club will hold their Annual Nature's Bounty & Greens Sale on Saturday, November 22 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Beaver United Methodist Church at 345 College Avenue in Beaver.  You may pre-order fresh roping and wreaths by calling Judy Robertson at 724-728-5856.

Big Brothers Big Sisters sponsors the 3rd Annual 5-Mile Turkey Trot & Fun Walk in Irvine Park, Beaver at 9:00 a.m.. Race to raise funds to help grow awareness for the need of Big Brothers Big Sisters in Beaver County. Race through the streets of Beaver and Vanport. Prizes awarded to top finishers. Cost is $30. NOVEMBER 27 THRU DECEMBER 7 
25th annual Festival of Trees opens at Bradys Run Park sponsored by U.S. SARR Corp.  Walk into a Winter Wonderland featuring the Spirit of Christmas.  A wide variety of creatively designed Christmas trees displayed each with a different theme and wreaths.  Visit the North Pole Cafe, Santa Land, the Candy Lane gift shop and enjoy the model train display.  Thursday 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Friday - Sunday noon - 9:00 p.m. For more information visit beavercountyfestivaloftrees.org.

NOVEMBER 28 The Beaver Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors
Light-Up Festival in downtown Beaver from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Free children's photo with Santa at the gazebo. Horse-drawn carriage rides, carolers and live entertainment. Stroll along the street and shop in the unique specialty stores. Call 724-987-4944 for more information.

FALL FUND RAISER - NOVEMBER 1   The Beaver Area Memorial Library's annual fall fundraiser will be held at the library at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 1.  The theme is "Persons of Interest". The event will include a silent auction, theme baskets to be raffled and a boutique. Tickets purchased at the library in advance are available for $12. On the day of the event the cost is $15 at the door.  Call the library for more information.

NOVEMBER 14 - 16, 21 - 23 LPPAC presents Anne of Green Gables. Step back in time with this comedy based on the bestselling novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery!  An aging brother and sister agree to adopt a boy to help them with the farm work at Green Gables.  Instead, the Cuthberts are sent Anne Shirley, a teenage girl with plenty of spirit.  Over time, Anne warms the hearts of her new guardians -- and the rest of the town!  Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday performances are at 2:00 p.m.

DECEMBER 4 - 7 The Beaver Bobcat Players Community Theater presents A Bench in the Sun at the Beaver Area High School.  Two old friends, Harold and Burt, suddenly become rivals for the hand of a fading movie star who moves into Valley View Gardens Retirement Home. Tickets are $8 and are available at the Hostess Shoppe in Beaver or by calling 724-494-1680. Shows are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday thru Saturday and at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.

DECEMBER 5 - 7 Find your Christmas spirit with LPPAC's trademark production of A Christmas Story! This comedic play includes all of the memorable moments from the 1983 film as we follow Ralphie's struggle to make sure he gets his one Christmas wish -- a Red Ryder BB Gun. A Christmas Story is back by popular demand. The Brighton Township Park & Recreation Board is sponsoring a trip to see the December 6 show that includes a buffet dinner at the Willows Inn.  Tickets are $40 per person. Bus leaves the Social Hall at 5 p.m. Tickets available at the Township office beginning November 3.

DECEMBER 10 Free holiday concert at Penn State Beaver's Student Union Building at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy your favorite holiday music performed by the
Beaver County Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Monaca Cornet Band. For more information call 724-773-3610.

DECEMBER 12 LPPAC presents
Johnny Angel and the Halos Christmas Concert at 7:30 p.m. This sure to sell-out show features doo-wop spins on your yuletide favorites as well as local high school concert choirs. Tickets are $25 floor and $20 balcony.

DECEMBER 19 - 21 Cherish the memories you'll make with loved ones at LPPAC's oldest and most treasured tradition! The Nutcracker tells the classic story of Clara and her magical adventure on Christmas Eve. When her beloved Godfather presents her with a Nutcracker soldier, Clara is transported to a beautiful world of enchantment. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday performance is at 2:00 p.m.

JANUARY 23 Lincoln Park presents Nelson Illusions, the largest touring illusion show in the United States.  Don't miss this one-of-a-kind theatrical spectacle that combines rare and original illusions from around the world with award winning, jaw-dropping magic. Performance is at 7:30 p.m.
