Fish Fry Returns Friday, August 16
|
Fish Fries return to the Brighton Township Firemen's Social Hall on Dutch Ridge Road from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Price is $9 for adults and $8 for children. Fish fries will also be held September 6 & 20 and October 4 & 18.

Pirate Game Bus Trip Friday, August 30th sponsored by the Park & Rec Board

This fun outing begins when the bus leaves the Firemans Social Hall at 4 p.m. Includes a tailgate party complete with hot dogs, chips and cold soft drinks. Get your free T-shirt and hat along with admission to the game. All for $25. Let's go Bucs!

Annual Tire Disposal September 21st |
Held at the Public Works Site, 1250 Brighton Road from 9 a.m. to noon, in cooperation with the Independence Conservancy. There is a small fee for disposal. |

2014 Two Mile Run Park Reservations - Saturday, October 12 from 8 a.m. to noon

Township residents may begin reserving the Two Mile Run Park facilities in person only at the Municipal Building. Telephone reservations for residents only will not be accepted until Monday, October 14th starting at 8 a.m. Call 724-774-4803 for reservations.

Richmond Schoolhouse Summer Visitation Hours

Visit the Richmond Schoolhouse at 245 Park Road on Sundays now thru Labor Day from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Free parking and admission. Visit the school and step back in time.

AUGUST 3 Hot Summer Nights Car Cruise featuring over 1500 classic and custom cars on Main Street in Beaver from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be DJs playing oldies music and food vendors.
AUGUST 10 Howl at the Moon 5K benefitting Beaver High School Cross Country at the Beaver High School track beginning at 8:30 p.m.
AUGUST 16 - 18 Beaver County River Regatta held in Bridgewater. Boat races, entertainment, food, music, lighted boat parade, skydivers, vendors and more. Hours are Friday 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday noon to 10 p.m.
SEPTEMBER 28 Run for the "Hills"! 5K Run/Walk sponsored by the Beaver Area Chamber of Commerce Cancer Run. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. for the 10:30 a.m. race. Visit beaverareachamber.com for more information.

AUGUST 15 - 18 Bobcat Players present Old Love, the saga of a more than middle-aged man pursuing an elusive woman with the energy and optimism of youth. His efforts to woo her and win her make for a hilarious look of ageless love. Performances at the Ed Schaughency Theater at the Beaver High School August 15 - 17 are at 7 p.m. and August 18 at 2 p.m.
SEPTEMBER 8 Summer Concert Series - Beaver County Bands Night free in Lincoln Park at 7 p.m. Bring you own refreshments and a lawn chair.
SEPTEMBER 14 Stars in Brass at Lincoln Park. Enjoy music from the silver screen! Includes pieces from Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings as well as movies where Pittsburgh is the star such as Batman, Flashdance and Jack Reacher. Tickets are $21 and $19.
SEPTEMBER 19 - 21, 27 - 28 Bobcat Players present the comedy Broadway Bound. Newly returned from the war, a young writer and his older brother launch their careers as comedy writers in the world of early television dealing with the exploits of their loving but somewhat eccentric family. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. for all shows.

SEPTEMBER 28 Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra presents Fiddlesticks Family Concerts at Lincoln Park at this special Saturday morning concert. Before the performance little ones 3 to 8 years old can listen to PSO musicians, play musical instruments, create a take-home craft and experience a variety of other musical and educational explorations. OCTOBER 11 River City Brass: Autumn Leaves and Lincoln Park. Celebrate the music, life and times of one of America's greatest musicians, Nat King Cole, as well as his contemporaries. Enjoy the sounds of artists who performed with the greatest big bands in the world. Tickets are $21 and $19. OCTOBER 19 LPPAC presents the classical children's ballet Peter And The Wolf. This educational program for students in kindergarten thru 8th grade is an excellent way to introduce children to ballet and the different instruments of the orchestra. Tickets are $8. OCTOBER 25 - 27 Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center Student Company brings to life one of Jane Austen's most enchanting heroines in this stage adaptation of Emma. Tickets are $18 and $13.
