Visit the Richmond Schoolhouse During History Celebration Weekend May 4 & 5
During the weekend of May 4-5 the Richmond Schoolhouse will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Plan to visit the Schoolhouse at 245 Park Road.
June 1st Trip to the Pittsburgh Pirates Game
Sponsored by the Park & Recreation Board.  The bus leaves the Social Hall on Dutch Ridge Road at 4 p.m. The price of $25 includes transportation, a game ticket on the first-base side and a pre-game snack.  Tickets are on sale now at the township office.
2013 Yard Waste Permits Now Available
2013 Yard Waste Permits can now be purchased in person at the township office for $10 or by mail for $12. Visit the township web site at brightontwp.org to print an application form.
Online Credit Card Payments Now Available!
Brighton Township water and sewage customers  may now access their current account information through the Utility Billing link on the home page of the Brighton Township web site: brightontwp.org.

FISH FRY DATES  May 3 and 17 and June 7 at the Brighton Township Firemen's Social Hall on Dutch Ridge Road from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Price is $9 for adults and $8 for children.
     
MAY 4 - 5 History Celebration weekend Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. For a full list of sites visit www.visitbeavercounty.com and go to attractions/museums.  Included are three local sites: the Richmond Little Red Schoolhouse, the Beaver Area Heritage Museum and St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.

MAY 14 Brighton Township Historical Society covered dish dinner at 6 p.m. at Schultz Lodge in Two Mile Run Park.
  
MAY 27 Memorial Day Parade in downtown Beaver starting at 10:30 a.m. at Snitgers on Third Street and continuing on Third Street to the Beaver Cemetery where a memorial service will be held.
JUNE 7 BeaverArea High School Commencement at 6:30 p.m. Good luck to all graduating seniors.

JULY 19 The 2nd Annual Brighton Township Volunteer Fire Department Golf Outing will take place on Friday, July 19th at Rolling Acres Golf Course.  Tee off time is at 8:00 a.m. Contact Craig Nunamaker at 724-495-3803 or Station63-1@comcast.net for more information.
  
YOUR HELP IS NEEDED The BrightonTownship Park and Recreation Board is considering options for trips that may be of interest to residents. One suggestion is a bus trip to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Your feedback on this trip or any other suggestion would be appreciated by the Park and Recreation Board. EVERY THURSDAY  Knit and Crochet Club meets from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. making items to sell to support library programs.

MAY 3 - 5 Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center presents The Secret Garden at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinee is at 2 p.m. The story of Mary born and raised in the British Raj. Orphaned by a cholera outbreak she was sent to live in England where she brings to life a neglected garden once cared for by her deceased mother.
  
MAY 9 The Beaver Valley Community Concert Association presents TAP - The Show at 7:30 p.m. at the Beaver Falls Middle School auditorium.  Tickets are $20 and $5 for students.
  
MAY 13 LPPAC presents The Notre Dame Band in concert at 7:30 p.m.  This world famous band is the oldest college band in continuous existence.  Dinner and show tickets are $40. Show only tickets are $20 and $15.

 

MAY 16 LPPAC presents Pop, Pulse, Passion a jazz/pop concert at 7:30 p.m. Favorite tunes from the Beatles to Bruno Marks.
  
MAY 18 The River City Brass Band presents Beach Blanket Brass featuring LPPAC dancers. Show is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $21 and $19 with senior discounts available.
JUNE 3 The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra presents the music of John Williams and Henry Mancini at Lincoln Park.  Tickets are $45 and $35.
  
JUNE 21 - 23 & 28 - 30 Liberty Theatre presents My Way - A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra at Lincoln Park. Tickets are $25/$20.
  
JUNE 21 - 22 & 27 - 29 Bobcat Players present There Goes the Bride
at the Ed Schaughency Theater at the Beaver Area High School at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8.  This is the tale of a frenetic advertising executive who is "visited" by a special ad campaign girl of his dreams on the morning of his daughter's wedding.
  
JULY 2 Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra presents A Patriotic Tribute to celebrate the July 4th holiday.  Tickets are $45, $35 & $25.
  
JULY 28 LPPAC presents Una Bella Festa. Enjoy the community celebration with Italian food and entertainment.  Dinner at 5 p.m. and performance at 7 p.m.
