SPRING FORWARD ON MARCH 13TH

It's time to change our clocks again, and there are a few other things we should do this month as well.  We change the clocks twice a year, so why not use that as a reminder to do the other bi-annual tasks on your to-d- list?  In this month's Spotlight, we include a list of them to get you started.

We also include some tips for enjoying the Springtime holidays with your pets.

There's always something fun and exciting going on at Bewaggle, and we're excited to share our news and information with you. Read on and share in the excitement!

Anchor1Before You Change the Clocks
We change our clocks twice a year.  We have to.  But there are a few other chores we really should do twice a year, that somehow get forgotten or put off.  So we want to suggest you use Daylight Savings Time as your reminder to attend to these duties in a timely manner.  Here's our list of tasks for the Spring Forward to-do list.
  1. Check the smoke detectors.
  2. Get your teeth cleaned.
  3. Clean out the dryer vent.
  4. Check the medicine cabinet for expired meds.
  5. Check the First Aid kit for missing or expired items.
  6. Have the trees pruned.
  7. Clean out the closets.
  8. Review your insurance policies.
  9. Review your emergency plan, and pack your kit.
  10. Inspect the roof and home exterior for damage.

What else should we be doing now, before summer's here?

Article1Happy Spring, Animal Lovers!
Whether you're celebrating St. Patrick's Day, or Easter, or March Madness, or just the arrival of Spring, chances are, you'll be doing it with lots of friends and family and food. Here are a few tips to keep your furry friends safe and happy during all the festivities.
  1. Include them when you can. Your pets love being with you, so don't shut them out, away from all the fun.  If you are celebrating away from home, be sure to give them some extra love and attention when you get home.
  2. Spoil them wisely. Beer and nachos make for awesome Final Four food, but don't share them with the pets.  Instead, get them their own treats that they'll enjoy while you're watching the game.
  3. Stock their Easter Basket with healthy snacks and pet-safe toys. No chocolates, jelly beans, or Beanie Babies. And keep the plastic Easter grass out of their reach. That stuff is incredibly dangerous to a pet's digestive system.
