In 2013, before we had even hired our first Pet Sitter, Bewaggle made a commitment to a very special charity.  K9s for Warriors is an organization that we are very passionate about for three specific, and very personal reasons.

1. They are a dog charity.  95% of dogs used in K9s For Warriors programs are rescue/shelter dogs.
2. They are a veterans charity.  Our family knows from  first-hand experience the enormous sacrifices these people make, and we are deeply and passionately thankful.
3. They are a suicide prevention charity.  Since 9-11, more of America's war heroes have died from suicide than have died in combat.  As a family personally devastated by a suicide, we want to help change that for the families of our troubled vets.

Their mission:
K9s For Warriors is dedicated to providing service canines to our warriors suffering from Post-traumatic Stress Disability, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma as a result of military service post 9/11. Their goal is to empower them to return to civilian life with dignity and independence.
