CEOmessage

Welcome to the inaugural issue of a monthly newsletter from your friends at Bewaggle, LLC.  I have sent you this email because we have been connected in some way - possibly through my affiliation with Emcie Media.

Bewaggle is a Pet Services company that provides pet care and training in the customer's home, but there are significant differences between Bewaggle and any other pet service provider in central Florida.  I have chosen to join the Bewaggle team and lead the Business Development and Management efforts for a number of reasons.

  1. I love animals, and I recognize the need in our community for professional, reliable pet care services.
  2. I believe this company has the potential to grow into a national brand, and I'm excited to be part of it, starting on the ground floor.
  3. My daughter, Paula, is my partner in this endeavor, and she's the animal expert.  Working with her at Emcie Media, I've seen her developing into a savvy and capable business leader, and I've always known she had a gift for handling animals. This is a perfect fit for both of us.
  4. The specific products and services we will provide have not been available to pet owners in our area, or anywhere else, as far as we can tell, and we are confident the market is ready to support this venture.

So welcome to Bewaggle!  If you are a pet owner or animal lover, our newsletter, The Spotlight, will be a great resource for you, whether you become a client or not.  And if you do become a client, Bewaggle promises to be a trusted and dedicated partner for many of your pet service needs.

As always, I'm excited to share our news and some valuable information with you.  Read on and share in the excitement!

At your service,

Marianne

Article1Bewaggle Begins at Home

We've got big dreams for our company, but we're starting small and very close to home. Because mileage costs effect the prices we have to charge our customers, our service area will always be limited to the neighborhoods where our employees live. We'll hire sitters and trainers from within the neighborhoods we want to target, then open the service area to include those neighborhoods.

We're working to develop our Employee Training Program, and until that is complete, we won't be hiring.  So for now, dog and puppy training is available throughout Volusia and Seminole Counties, but the pet sitting service is only available in a small area of West Volusia. We expect to begin our expansion into other neighborhoods early next year.

Article2 People Foods Can Be Toxic to Pets

Our dogs and cats love to hang out in the kitchen while we're cooking, hoping something yummy will land on the floor. And when it does, they are quick to gobble it up.  But there are many (yes, many) human foods that can be toxic - even deadly - to our beloved pets.

Grapes and raisins, for example contain toxins that can cause organ failure in pets.  Onions, garlic, coffee grounds, chocolate and chewing gum are also toxic.  But these are just a few of the common foods that can be harmful to dogs and cats.  Please be aware of the dangers in your kitchen and keep these toxins away from your pets.  For more information about these and other common toxins that can harm or even kill your pets,  you should visit the American Animal Hospital Association's Healthypet.com website.
