CEOmessageAccording to a report by the National Retail Federation, Americans spent $370,000,000 last year on Halloween costumes for their pets. Let's take a moment to let that sink in. That number is staggering, isn't it?  But it's good news for those pet owners who enjoy dressing their four-legged kids up for a stroll around town. You can now rest assured that you are not alone. Far, far from it!

And there's more good news! For you fun-loving pet owners that want to dress up your pooch, Bewaggle is co-sponsoring three events for pets in costumes this month. I hope we see you all there. See below for all the details.

I want everyone to know about a free seminar we're presenting at multiple venues throughout Volusia and Seminole Counties, called Surprising Pet Facts that Every Florida Pet Owner Should Know. If you love animals and you live in Florida, this is a seminar you will want to attend. See below for details.

Happy Halloween

As always, I'm excited to share our news and some valuable information with you. Read on and share in the excitement!

At your service,

Article1Surprising Pet Facts
(that Every Florida Pet Owner Should Know)
We've put this presentation together to alert Florida pet owners and animal lovers to some dangers that they may not know about. We talk about topics of particular interest to dog and cat owners right here in Florida. Our first venue is the  Golf Club at Victoria Park in DeLand, and we are working with several other venues throughout Volusia and Seminole Counties to get this important information out to the public.

If you are a member of any club, HOA, or other organization that would like to bring us in to present this program to your members, please let us know.  You can view the flyer here, or contact us if you have any questions.

Article2 Three Chances to Show off Your Pets
Bewaggle wants you to have fun with your pets this Halloween, so we're having THREE events for Pets in Costumes!

First, we are partnering with Spring Oaks Animal Care Center in DeLand to bring you a Trick-Or-Treat event at their facility on McGregor Rd. That event is actually happening on two days Click here for the flyer with all the details!  Prizes, treats, photo ops, and fun!

ALSO, we are partnering with Woof Gang Bakery to host the Pet Costume Contest at Victoria Park's BooBash on October 26, from 3-6 pm at Victoria Square on Orange Camp Road in DeLand.

Article3 Employee Training Program Goes Live
It's been eight months in development, and we are delighted to announce that our employee training program is now live - and it's actually two weeks ahead of schedule!  The training program, which is accessed by our employees online, covers important topics that are critical to the services and protections we provide to our clients.

  • Pet First Aid*
  • Pet CPR*
  • Emergency Response
  • Professional Standards
  • Workplace Safety
  • Basic Animal Care
  • Reward-Based Training Techniques, and more.
Every Bewaggle employee will pass all these courses before they serve a single Bewaggle client.  It's just one more reason we say:

*We will soon add a classroom training component for Pet First Aid & CPR as well.
