Food (+ Policy) Dialogue
Thursday November 1, 2012  3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Henke Hall 325 (Center for Biographical Research)

Food (+) will be featuring speakers on different food policy issues -- with a special emphasis on state-level legislation including food security and GMO-food labeling -- and talking together about ways we can get involved in policy-making. We will also be trying to make political, and poetic, connections not just between Hawai'i and the US, but to the larger Pacific. Light local refreshments will be available.

Speakers are:
Joseph Farber (William S. Richardson School of Law, organizer with Label It Hawai'i)
Ashley Lukens (Dept of Political Science, Hawai'i Food Policy Council)
Craig Santos Perez (Dept of English, poet and activist)
Moderated by Annie Koh (Dept of Urban and Regional Planning)
