Remembering 9/11
Red, White, and Blue Day
In honor of 9/11, Friday will be red, white and blue day on campus. We are asking students to dress in these patriotic colors.

Friday night, at the varsity football game against Chiles, we will pay  tribute to all current and past military as well as first responders. We are asking parents and alumni who have served in the military or are currently serving in the military as well as our first responders to allow us to recognize you on the field Friday night during half-time. Our SGA officers will be holding up signs that represent each branch of service as well as first responders and we would like to gather you behind your appropriate branch to be recognized. There will also be a color guard at the game. We are inviting the Chiles family to join us in this recognition as well. We would really like to see you in uniform or be able to visually recognize you when you come to the game, so if you wear your uniform or can in some way be identified by our gate workers as military personnel, you will get into the game free. Just a small token of our appreciation for what you do and a way to say thank you.

Junior League of Tallahassee
JLT is excited to recruit the third annual Teen Board, selecting up to 20 high school junior and senior female leaders in our community to serve a one-year term (September 2015 - May 2016). The JLT Teen Board provides a foundation of volunteerism while offering the opportunity for Teen Board members to gain an understanding of the impact JLT has on the Tallahassee community, while gaining needed volunteer hours for college and scholarship applications. Members of the JLT Teen Board will receive specialized training on volunteerism and fundraising from JLT members and community leaders, and have the opportunity to participate in key JLT fundraisers. In addition, the teen participants will have the opportunity to interact with other young women their age from across the community. At the end of the year we will have applications for our Teen Board members to apply for two (2) $250 scholarships. The deadline to apply for this opportunity is September 16th. Click here for all of the information you need.
