Moms in Prayer
"What if you could change the world - not just for today but for generations to come? Moms in Prayer International believes that lives and whole communities are changed forever when moms gather together to pray. Moms can make the difference - moms just like you. Parent Nights
Thank you to all of those who have already attended one of the Parent Nights. They have been very well attended.
The Middle School Parent Night is Tuesday, September 8th at 6:30pm. in the Fellowship Hall. This meeting is for parents and students. We will be going over the Science Fair Projects and using the website to help students and families in the process. We will also cover many other areas related to the Middle School year. This meeting is for grades 6th, 7th and 8th.

Box Tops for Education
 NFCS Preschool and Elementary have begun collecting Box Tops this week. Each Tuesday, our volunteers will collect and record Box Tops. Students will have the opportunities to win rewards while helping our school earn money. We have purchased PE Equipment, art supplies, computer programs, musical instruments and everything in our Elementary Science Lab. Last year our school earned $1974.60. If you would like to help with Box Tops on Tuesday mornings, please contact the Elementary Office at extension 153.

From the Clinic
Mrs. Swinson would like to remind us that we are in lice season and about to enter flu season. Please remind your child/children to wash their hands, not share hats or combs and to cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze.

Class Officers
Class officer applications are in the middle school/high school office. Applications will be due back to Mrs. Stallworth no later than 8am on Monday, August 31st and elections will be held Friday, September 4th during homeroom. All students who are thinking of running for office must have a personal testimony to share and a letter of recommendation from their youth minister/pastor. Additionally, all candidates will meet with an administrator before being allowed to run.

SGA
SGA is selling NFC shopping bags in the middle school/high school office, the elementary office and at Friday night home football games this fall. Bags are $2 and all proceeds go to fund SGA activities this year. Please contact an SGA officer or one of the offices for more details.

College Fair at TCC
The 2015 College Fair hosted by Leon County School District will be held Monday, August 31st from 5:30-7:30pm in the Student Union Ballroom on TCC's Campus. This is a great opportunity for students to explore many colleges and career options in one place. A flier was sent out to announce the different colleges attending. Click here to see the list.
There are a couple of contest incentives that you may want to be aware:
- $500 awarded to the SCHOOL with the most students to attend.
- 2 - $1000 TCC Scholarship drawings.
- Many FREE promotional items throughout the event

College Visits
Representatives from a number of colleges will be on campus the week of August 31st.
On Monday, Eckerd College, Florida Southern and Southeastern University will have representatives here. On Tuesday representatives will be here from Berry College and Samford University.
Valdosta State which now offers Leon County students instate tuition will be here Friday, September 4th. If you would like to learn more about colleges, please come by the gym office. Additional college admission representatives will be on campus during the weeks to come.

Senior Girl Presentation
The first big event of the senior year is right around the corner. Make plans now to attend Senior Girl presentation on Thursday, September 17th at 9:30am in the NFBC auditorium. Senior Superlatives will also be announced during the ceremony. Girls need to have their dresses approved by Mrs. Burgess no later than Friday, September, 11th.

SAT/ACT Testing
The first SAT testing date is October 3rd. Sign up by September 3rd.
The next ACT Test date is October 24th. Sign up by September 18th.
