Annie Jr. is Coming to NFC!
|
 NFC Jr. Players are proud to present Annie Jr. in the North Florida Baptist Church auditorium April 17th and 18th. This exciting production will take you down memory lane as the old favorites "Tomorrow" and "Hard Knock Life" are brought to life. The NFC Jr. Players consist of 33 students in grades three through five. Tickets to the production are on sale April 6th in the school offices or may be purchased at the door. The cost for adults is $5.00, and $3.00 for children ages four and up. Please join us either Friday evening or Saturday afternoon for an enjoyable and unforgettable experience!

April 12th is Spring Sports Sunday at North Florida Baptist Church for the Tennis, Track, Softball, and Baseball teams. All of the teams will be introduced during the service. At 9 am there will be food, fellowship, and a Bible study in the Eagle Café. The main service will be at 10 am in the auditorium. The teams will sit together in the front of the church.

Meridian Run

 Make plans to attend the 2nd Annual North Florida Christian School Meridian Run on April 25, 2015 at 8:00 am. You can walk or run the 1 mile Fun Run, the 5K or the 10K. For information on running or volunteering, go to www.meridianrun.com. All proceeds go to help our school.

Jr/Sr Banquet

Make plans now to attend the Jr/Sr Banquet on May 15th at the Golden Eagle Country Club. This annual event is the culmination of the year and all juniors and seniors and their guests are invited to attend. Tickets will go on sale next week in the athletic office and will be $35 each.

Talon Award
| |
 Congratulations to Chris Pham who is this year's Talon Award winner. North Florida Christian School's Talon Award is presented to the 8th grader who best exemplifies Christian character, leadership, faithful involvement in his or her local church, academic excellence and participation in extra-curricular activities. It is decided by the administration of NFC. Chris has attended North Florida Christian School for 11 years. He has a current GPA of 98.76190.
Chris is a current member of the NFCS Middle  School Basketball team and the varsity tennis team. He placed first in his class for the History fair last year and moved on to the NFC school history fair. Chris has also participated in the NFC Science Fair. He consistently places in the top ten academic list for his grade and has received numerous awards for his achievement in academics. Chris is an active member of the North Florida Baptist Church Youth Group and has participated in the youth group's Summer Serve program. Chris has also served as a Vacation Bible School volunteer for North Florida Baptist Church.
Chris is the son of Tony and Tina Pham. Congratulations Chris!

TCC Preview Night
|
 Prospective students interested in Tallahassee Community College are encouraged to attend the spring edition of TCC Preview on Thursday, April 16, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in TCC's Student Union Ballroom.
The evening will provide opportunities to learn about admission, orientation and financial aid, as well as programs of study, student services and campus life. TCC's Golden Guarantee Programs will also be highlighted.
TCC Preview attendees may enter a drawing for a $500 TCC scholarship. Attendees must be present to win.

It's Time for Re-enrollment
|
Enrollment for the 2015-2016 school year is officially open! This includes re-enrollment for current students and meeting with new families who are choosing NFC for the upcoming school year. This year we have a new re-enrollment schedule. The re-enrollment fee is $200, however, there is a benefit for early re-enrollment.April $150 will apply to August tuition May $100 will apply to August tuition Re-enrollments completed after May 31st will result in a flat $200 per student fee, with no application towards August tuition. All payments are non-refundable. You may complete the re-enrollment process by using our RenWeb on-line program. Select the Family Information Tab on the left, and then click Enrollment/Reenrollment. You will be guided through the process concluding with payment. Our office personnel will be glad to assist you and answer any questions you may have.

NFC Summer Camps
|  NFC offers a variety of camps this summer for students in grades 1-6. Please see the dates below for a full list. Camp is from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day for a cost of $160 including lunch. Aftercare is available from 3:30-5:45 for an additional cost of $50 for the week. Brochures should be available soon. Student Government

 Student Government applications are now available in the high school office. Any current sophomore or junior interested in running for office should pick up an application this week and completed. Once done, return the application to Mrs. Stallworth in the middle school office. All applications are due by Friday, April 17th.

College Boards Testing

 There are only a couple of more opportunities to sign up to take the SAT and the ACT.
The SAT will be offered on May 2nd and June 6th.
The ACT will be offered on June 13th.

Any high school students interested in participating in Chorus next year should sign up in the middle school office. If there are enough students who are interested, and who commit to being in Chorus, we will work to have a high school Chorus next year. We will need at least 10 students to sign up in order to consider the class. Please see Mrs. Burgess or Mr. Lieser for more details.

 Seniors who have been Dual Enrollment Students at NFC, need to fill out a Florida Residency Form to continue on to TCC. See the Guidance Office to pick up and return a form. The form needs to be filled out based on the parent information. |
 Our Lost and Found box on the breezeway is getting full! Please be sure to check our red and black Lost and Found box outside of Coach Cole's office for any items you may be missing so far this year. Please be sure to check before the end of the year as we will be donating any items after that date to the James 215 project for those in need.

Mr. Knight's 6th grade class was involved in what they called "Operation Clean Sweep" during their leadership class this week. They were divided into two teams, each with a specific area to clean up, and then had to work together to complete the project. Great job sixth graders!!
