It's Time for Re-enrollment
Enrollment for the 2015-2016 school year is officially open! This includes re-enrollment for current students and meeting with new families who are choosing NFC for the upcoming school year. This year we have a new re-enrollment schedule. The re-enrollment fee is $200, however, there is a benefit for early re-enrollment.

March    $200 will apply to August tuition

April       $150 will apply to August tuition

May        $100 will apply to August tuition

Re-enrollments completed after May 31st will result in a flat $200 per student fee, with no application towards August tuition. All payments are non-refundable.

You may complete the re-enrollment process by using our RenWeb on-line program. Select the Family Information Tab on the left, and then click Enrollment/Reenrollment. You will be guided through the process concluding with payment.

Our office personnel will be glad to assist you and answer any questions you may have. Early re-enrollment is encouraged to guarantee a reservation in your child's grade for the 2015-16 school year and to save you money.

For more information you may read the email that was sent by clicking here.

NFC Jr. Players are proud to present Annie Jr. in the North Florida Baptist Church auditorium April 17th and 18th. This exciting production will take you down memory lane as the old favorites "Tomorrow" and "Hard Knock Life" are brought to life. The NFC Jr. Players consist of 33 students in grades three through five.  Tickets to the production will go on sale April 6th in the school offices or may be purchased at the door.   The cost for adults is $5.00, and $3.00 for children ages four and up.  Please join us either Friday evening or Saturday afternoon for an enjoyable and unforgettable experience!

Eagle Sports
Tennis

The NFC Tennis team joined the other Tallahassee schools in the City Championships held at FSU on March 11-13. It was a strong field of tennis teams including Maclay, Florida High, Godby, Leon and Lincoln. Jya Glenn recorded the only singles win in the first round. Allysa Mears was a singles winner in the consolation division. Others recording wins were Aimee Williams and Lindsey Bembry in singles and Anslee Williams and Sarah Kelly in doubles. Christian Rich fought hard in the consolation semi-finals only to lose in a tie-breaker after a great comeback. As the season winds down, the team looks forward to the District Tournament at Malay on March 30-31. It's a long tournament -- which hopefully will end up with at least a couple of players moving on to regionals.

Track and Field

As we move into the second half of our Track and Field season, we have seen tremendous growth from our Student/Athletes both in athletically abilities and confidence. Here are a few highlights from both the Middle School and High School Track and Field season.

Middle School

All of the middle school students/athletes work extremely hard in practice and it shows when they compete. They are all performing well even though they have not been competing long. Silin Kindell and Jasmine Washington have performed well enough to compete in a High School meets!

High School

We have only one senior this year (Christian Philpott). So, we have a young HS team. For some, this is their first time competing in Track and Field. They all have a work ethic that is impressive. I'm very proud of how hard they all have been working in practice. As we move forward, I look forward to seeing them improve and become elite Track and Field student/athletes.

Softball

Congratulations to Coach Gorham and the Lady Eagles softball team.  NFC is currently 13-3 on the year and ranked #1 in 3A by the Florida Coaches Poll.

College Boards Testing

There are only a couple of more opportunities to sign up to take the SAT and the ACT.

The SAT will be offered on May 2nd and June 6th.

The ACT will be offered on April 18th and June 13th.

For information, visit the testing websites

actstudent.org and SAT.org

Tenth grade students who wish to take Dual Enrollment courses next year will need to have college ready scores from one of the two tests.

Legacy Wall

The response to those participating in Legacy Wall has been outstanding.  So many have shared their stories as to why they have bought a brick to help build the wall and thus becoming a legacy on the campus at North Florida Christian School.

If you have not done so, the time is now for you to purchase your brick. Simply go to http://nfclegacy.org/ to personalize your brick for the Legacy Wall. Bricks may be bought and personalized to advertise a business, remember a loved one, celebrate a graduate, or recognize a member of an athletic team. The website provides several examples to help you choose a layout.

We are almost ready to add the first bricks to the Legacy Wall. If you are able to get your brick order in before March 13th, your brick will go up with the first bricks on the wall. We will put the second group of bricks up around May 1st.

Recycling Program

NFCS is participating in a free printer cartridge, cell phone, and tablet recycling program. The funds raised from this program will help buy equipment that can enhance the learning environment at our school.

There are several collection boxes on campus where the recycled cartridges, cell phones, and tablets can be deposited. Just send them to school with your child.

If you are able to recycle the items in your place of business, you can go to www.fundingfactory.com and click on the "Get Started" button, click on "I am a for-profit business, then register your workplace.  In the "School or Non-profit ID" box put our ID number which is 165184.

Once you register, you can order free shipping labels and use any box, or order pre-labeled boxes. When the boxes are full, they can be picked up by UPS with no fees to your workplace. If you want to pick up labels or boxes from us, they will be available in the elementary and middle school offices.

If you have any questions you can contact our Technology Director, Eli Helms, at elihelms@nflchurch.com.

Have a great week!
