HarvestFest and Silent Auction

Make plans now to join us for this year's Harvest Fest. The event will take place on Friday, November 7th. It starts at
3:30 and goes until 9:00.
Please tell your friends and family to join us for this community wide event. There will be food, games, inflatables, a Raffle, the Children's Art Auction and the Silent Auction. Arm bands will be on sale starting October 27th and are $20. They will give your child unlimited games and jumps all night.

Cross Country
Congratulations to Coach Cronin and the Boys/Girls Cross Country (XC) teams. The boys finished in the top 4 teams to qualify for regional on November 8th. Also, for the girls, Sage Marlatt finished in the Top 15 individuals and qualified for the girls regional.
The North Regional will be hosted Saturday, November 8th at Sunny Hill Farms, 6289 Centerville Road, at 11 am.

Football
Eagle Football will host Duval Charter School on Friday, November 14th, at 7:30 p.m. This is the first round of the FHSAA playoffs. Admission for everyone will be $8 per person. Reserved parking may be used, but tickets must be purchased at the gate when entering. We need everyone to come out and support the Eagles.
Basketball
The girls basketball team will be in action on November 11th at NFC. The middle school will play at 5:30 followed by the varsity at 7 p.m. The boys will be at the Marianna Preseason Tournament on November 13th and 15th. The boys regular season starts November 20th at Sneads.

Talquin Electric Coop Youth Tour for Juniors

Every year, Talquin Electric Cooperative sponsors outstanding students in the service area (Gadsden, Leon, Liberty and Wakulla Counties) to participate in a two day statewide conference called the Talquin Youth Tour. These students qualify by submitting an essay which is available at www.talquinelectric.com or any Talquin Member Service Office. Students are selected based on community involvement, academic achievement, public speaking, and proven leadership skills. Best and Brightest
|
Students with a positive track record of community service, academic achievement and leadership skills are encouraged to apply for a Best and Brightest Scholarship. Students can win up to $1500 in 15 different categories. For more information and to apply for the scholarship, click here.

TCC Preview Night
|
On Thursday, November 13th, from 5:30 - 6:30 PM at the Student Union Ballroom at Tallahassee Community College is hosting a TCC Preview. Areas to be covered will be Applications, Financial Aid, Scholarships, Degree, certificates or workforce training and Campus Life. Scholarship applications for TCC are due by February 2nd.

Please note the following testing opportunities. Only two opportunities are left this semester. Remember that you must have a proper photo ID and an admission ticket to be admitted into the testing site.

Spelling Bee

Congratulations to the top spellers in each grade who qualified for the FACCS Regional Spelling Bee held at Rocky Bayou Christian School in Niceville on October 31st.

Taylor Jacobs won 1st place in the first grade division. In 4th grade, Savanna Young won 1st place and Maddie Mayo won 3rd place. All three will represent NFCS in the state competition.

All State High School Honor Band
|
Congratulations to Madison Walker for being selected to participate in the 2015 All-State High School Honors Band in
Tampa, FL this coming January. Band students from all over the state of Florida applied for this ensemble, and Madison was one of the students to be selected. She will be representing both our band program and North Florida Christian School. We are all very proud of her and excited for the wonderful experience she will partake in.

7th and 8th Grade Trip to Washington, DC

On Wednesday, October 29th, our fifth grade presented "Under God's Sea" during our elementary chapel. The program focused on God's amazing creation and salvation. The students have been working diligently preparing for this special day. The program left everyone with a song in their heart and a true message from God's Word presented by our fabulous fifth grade.
